Now our regular for consistently excellent soup..

OK so we're not the last of the big spenders, but if all you want is a plate of soup and some really fresh crusty bread, then this is for you. I've now sampled six of their soups, and it's when you go somewhere else for a lukewarm soup imitation that you realise how good the Pavilion is. The... read more

The cafe is nice inside and the customer service is good. They have a great range of drinks and the menu, along with the specials board, offered a good choice of food. The coffee isn't great though and I would say the prices are quite high; probably due to the area of the cafe and not the quality of food.

Have eaten here a few times recently, and think it's a nice, wee place. Today I had delicious chicken laksa soup, a nice sandwich and scrummy cake. It's not cordon bleu but doesn't claim to be. Very friendly service too. Give it a go!

I met my friend yesterday for a coffee and was so excited when the owner/manager stated they had a flour less chocolate cake! It was delicious and two hours later I became unwell. I am coeliac so I'll not go in to too much detail but anyone that has this disease will understand. I ate nothing else that day so... More

my friend and I went to the Pavilion Tearoom, waited over 40 minutes for our food, had to leave as picking up my son. My friend asked what had happened to our order and was told there was a mix up but it would not be long, would have been better customer service if a member of staff had spoken... More

Atmosphere is casual and cosy, food is decent but not particularly impressive. Their wifi didn't work on the particular day. For being a "tea room" they have a pretty unimpressive selection of different teas. I will probably come back because it is convenient for me, but it is probably not a place worth going out of your way to find.

We love this little place. Great coffee and pancakes! Good place to go for a wee pit stop or a Saturday brunch. Staff are always very friendly and even though it's a small place they are always very welcoming to children.

Glad we popped in. Busy little cafe with nice atmosphere. Food freshly made and tasty. Eggs benedict would recommend. Coffee fresh and good homemade cakes. Would definitely return.

We dropped in for a coffee and cake at the refurbished Olive Pip at the weekend and had a delicious piece of mulled-wine cake that was baked by one of the staff. I need to get back before Christmas for more.

We used to live in Broomhill close to the Olive Pip and we have been up recently for business for 12 days. The Olive Pip has become a frequent warm and very friendly sanctuary for us for a coffee and to relax. The girls/ladies who run or work in the place are so friendly. Very quickly we felt like welcomed... More
