I visited twice in the course of the Commonwealth Games and was well fed and watered on each occasion. The wood paneled first floor dining room is a very pleasant location. The food was good on each occasion and the service, maligned elsewhere, was fine. Not expensive and one I would certainly visit again.

We were there on a Monday lunchtime, can't fault the place at all (and I'm quite critical). Fantastic depth of flavour in every dish. Even the kid's (non-indian) grub was great!

Dropped by for a hot carry-out and later wished we hadn't. Premises were very busy and we were told 15 - 20 minute wait for the meal to be prepared - finally staggered out with our hot meal after 45 minutes of what looked like chaos behind the counter. Staff were pleasant but disorganised and the management looked like they... More

We thought we'd booked into the traditional Mother India and we're slightly disappointed when we turned up as this restaurant is fairly minimal in design - not "posh". We were given a quite limited menu and picked dishes that we'd never tried before. On speaking to the waitress more we were told that there was much more extensive menu but... More

We order a BBQ pack which was amazing. We gave a weeks notice of the order and was pick ed up as arranged time. The chicken lamb spiced fish and chilli prawns where all to die for. Staff are so helpful and friendly

If you consider that you go to a restaurant mainly for eating, this is a great place to be ... The food I had was superb, though not on the cheap side for Indian restaurants in Glasgow. But a little smile from the staff might help ...(Maybe because I am a lone traveler, and was occupying a table by myself... More

Mother India, has to be one of the best Indian restaurant's we have ever eaten in. The servings are huge, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. I had a Marlie ? Chicken Tikka. The chicken dissolved in your mouth it was so tender and succulent....Brilliant meal The service was excellent as well 10 out of 10 If you want a... More

Tapas style Indian was something I hasn't experience but would recommend. Friendly staff and liked everything I tasted. Would advise booking as it gets busy

Really good blend of traditional favourites and some new (to me) dishes to try. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and service was very quick.

Really awesome idea of mixing tapas with Indian food! It works SO well! My friends and I ate so much food and even with a couple of soft drinks each we only paid £18 a head. The food was Incredibly delicious. Some service was better than others - a young Scottish lady helped recommend stuff to us and also told... More
