Excellent

Arrived late (9:30 pm) on a Wednesday night, but the staff managed to seat us. Food was excellent. Really couldn't decide which dish to have, everything sounded fabulous, there were 10 of us so we had a great selection. Mother India was recommended by our hotel and it didn't disappoint. Although they did have trouble squeezing us in on a busy Friday night, so I would advise to try and book. I loved the atmosphere and the unobtrusive busyness. The food was a great combination of flavours and very tasty. The staff very efficient. Very enjoyable and we ate... More

Ironically, it has been quite a struggle to find decent Indian food here in the UK. We keep encountering "curry houses" with overcooked, underspiced food swimming in oil. Our first night in Glasgow we went to Nakodar, and our last night we went to the Wee Curry Shop, both of which came highly recommended only to disappoint with candy-sweet and/or... More

Best indian I have had in a long time! We went as a family for my birthday and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were great, very attentive and understanding that we were in a bit of a rush for the theatre. Will be back!

Having heard nothing but unwavering praise for Mother India, I'm very annoyed with myself that it took some nine years of living in Glasgow to actually go there. The food was excellent - really fresh ingredients, full of flavour but not overpowering, and portions generous but no feeling of being bloated afterwards, that can come from a lot of Indian... More

Eat here often! Last night had my nieces visiting form ireland and wanted to show them the best Indian food on the planet! Ginger fish pakora, butter chicken, chilli garlic chicken, garlic naan bread and popadoms eaten in the comfort of our own home. Utterly delicious and consistently top notch.

Mother India came from a Deli. Best ingredients cooked with knowledge and passion. Mother India Cafe made it all about Tapas. Genius because we all share curries so anyway so smaller portions work well. They came from nowhere and became the best in Glasgow. Then they opened a wee precooked curry house for take aways. It was great and then... More

We visited yesterday for a late lunch; and what a lunch! Beautiful food with really lovely flavours! Garlic prawns were absolutely delicious! I am suffering withdrawal symptoms cause I now have a craving for them! We will return soon!
