4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014 NEW

My favourite eating place in Glasgow along with it's sister restaurant, Mono. I always find a really good selection of soups, and other veg meals, not to mention desserts. Only thing preventing a 5/5 are the toilets - which are shared male / female and looking shabby - but the quality of the food and drink is without question.

I have regularly visited Stereo over the last few years. The food is always tasty with varied choices. It has a nice laid back feel and usually plays decent music. The only reason I haven't given it five stars is because sometimes service can be pretty slow and the toilets could badly use an upgrade.

If you want a relaxed, hip place to drink and eat vegetarian / vegan food then don't be scared to go down the lane and find it. Downstairs there is a medium sized venue which plays host to bands and club nights. Hot & sweaty! A word of warning, the toilets in the bar area are unisex.

Popped into stereo last Friday, and could not believe the service we received. None of the bar staff seemed interested whatsoever in serving us, along with and others. One of the female members of staff was actually scowling at us, and turning her back at an empty bar on occassions.. They really need some solid grounding in basic customer service.... More

I have been to Stereo twice with my boyfriend and have enjoyed it both times! On both occasions, both of us have taken advantage of their "soup and sandwich" deal. There is a good choice of toasted sandwiches, and I went for the falafel wrap on the most recent occasion, and was not disappointed. The soup was also nice and... More

Sothe other day I had my first experience of Stereo.....and was so disappointed. Despite the place being extremely quiet due to the time of day the staff seemed very uninterested in being helpful or even acknowledging us. Infact, they made sure to finish their conversation before asking us if we would like to be served. We were unsure whether we... More

Thought this would be hard to find but it wasnt really - its just up a creepy looking deserted alley. We went on a Thursday night which was quite busy - we got the last table. Service was good and didnt have to wait too long for the food. Food itself was great quality and not too expensive. Atmosphere is... More

If you look past Stereo's dodgy location and slow service, you'll find that the food is real star of the show. It's delicious, wholesome and also great for people with food allergies. Whether you're a vegan or a meat eater, if you're in Glasgow's city centre you should pay Stereo a visit. See my blog, written from the perspective of... More
