Overhyped sandwich in a nice setting.

I had the croque-Monsieur sandwich, which was pretty rubbish to be brutally honest. It was essentially an inside out cheese and ham toastie. I couldn't taste any mustard on it, and I have no idea what was supposed to be French about it at besides 'le name'. My girlfriend had the veggie option, and... read more

With my family hailing from the Highlands I have tried many a scone by various elderly women in my time. The scone with clotted cream and jam I had at epicures of hyndland was by far one of the best if not the best scone I've had the pleasure of sampling. The fact that it was served warm was also... Came at 11.30am for brunch, very busy but managed to get a table. Service was fine. Food was ok but pricey - the two full breakfasts were missing eggs! Would go back but there are probably better places for similar prices or less

We took our daughter for brunch to start off her 18th birthday last Friday. It couldn't have been better - delicious food, great coffee and excellent service all made extra special by a stunning platter of cakes and other sweet goodies with birthday greetings in white chocolate. Thank you to all at Epicures and particularly to lovely head waitress who... More

Decided to go to Epicures on Sunday for breakfast as we usuallly go to Byres Road. Place was busy and had a look at the menu.Though it was pricey however would give it a go. Waitress informed us that there was a 20 minute wait as the kitchen was backed up however it was an hour before I breakfast arrived.... More

I have eaten in epicures before, around a year ago and vowed never to return. ( or so I thought ). Our friends had planned a dinner date for themselves, myself and my wife. Un be known to us they had chosen Epicures. We bit our lips and arrived to meet our friends who were waiting to be seated. After... More

Having only had lunch there before we weren't sure what to expect but we had a lovely dinner and the food was lovely and the service was friendly and very good. The only two slight downsides were the music, which was too invading and the fact that there were possibly too many tables crammed together upstairs which made you very... More

We were recommended to this bistro by our hotel up the road as when we booked in the hotel bistro was booked out. It is in the West End of Glasgow. The downstairs of the restaurant is surrounded by large windows looking to to the street on two sides and is bright and very pleasant. We were served immediately and... More

Lovely & lively place, with seats outside (if you dare brave the weather!). Food is good, staff are good, all in all nothing to complain about. Maybe a tad over priced though...but I would definitely go back!
