Hard scones for Afternoon Tea

Lovely range of cakes and sandwiches but spoilt by hard scones and bread. The sandwich filling was fine but the bread used appeared to have been standing out for a while and not freshly made. Nice touch was little cups of soup. We told a waitress about the scones when she asked how the afternoon... read more

Epicures is in a prime position for west enders and when it opened we had high hopes. They are usually busy enough and do get a good footfall. We have been in a number of times and find it utterly disappointing. We gave up on the food ages ago, as it's simply horrible but have persisted in venturing in occasionally... More

very happy to have this place near to my Glasgow apartment: Whether it is for just a coffee, lunch, early evening supper or a special dinner, it has always come up trumps.... best to book but impromptu visits have frequently been successful too... I wish I could indulge in their glorious cakes and desserts but know I would gain too... More

We've been here a few times for lunch. We always sit outside at a table in the patio, because we bring our dog. The outdoor seating is noisy from traffic and could really do with a clean up: today there were cigarette butts, used napkins, and trodden-in food scraps on the floor. Service is a bit slow but the food... More

Having been before, often,I was treated there for my birthday. The "meal" was excellent; there was a small mug of delicious soup; a choice of pates with oatcakes, and sandwiches - all very tasty; many cakes of some variety, also most appetising. At the end, we were supplied with containers by way of a "doggy bag"! So, we were able... More

Four of us went to the Epicure, two of us for the first time and we all found the service absolutely terrific. From being welcomed all the staff were attentive, prompt and efficient. They were happy, chatty and couldn't do enough for you. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. This will not be the last time we visit this... More

Slightly packed. Very nice atmosphere. Very good food an service. Highly recommended. I was reading about unfriendly or slow service do I try to observe our waitress and in fact they were busy all the time and we really had no reason to complain about long waiting

Having read a few of the reviews on here I am astonished to see more than a fair share of negative comments, so I wanted to give my own view. I regularly go to Epicures, and have had breakfast, lunch, dinner, and evening drinks - the whole gambit. I can honestly say that they some of the friendliest and most... More

Visited this restaurant last week with a friend during the brief and rare sunshine period of Glasgow. Was relatively busy but there seemed to be more than enough staff for the number of customers. When initially seated, we weren't handed the full set of menus. Then we were left waiting ages until I finally had to ask for our orders... More

We just came in for a late drink after being at a restaurant in the West End. Seems very nice. Pleasant helpful staff. We had a mix of types of drinks but it was very nice environment and great for a chat. I see they have outdoor seating which must be lovely in the summer.
