Watch out for all the extras!!

This is a decent place we went for the pre theatre option for £12 including a glass of prosecco. On face value this sounds like a good deal but there are quite a few dishes which have a supplement charge and all side dishes are extra. In addition the kids menu is 9.99 for 2 courses, this does... read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time and was not disappointed. The pre theatre menu is good value with a wide choice within the courses. The service and ambience were excellent and as it only seat 40 - 50 the atmosphere is intimate and friendly. Got a discount card from our waiter and would recommend and return.

Went on the spur of the moment with my daughter (the gig we were planning on going to was cancelled). It was pretty late and the place was empty, wasn't sure if they would even serve us. Couldn't have been more wrong, we were welcomed with open arms. The restaurant was impeccable, lovely fresh linen tablecloths and napkins. It has... More

Went for pre theatre - good selection and good food - however all side dishes are extra charge. Also two course pre theatre does not include main and dessert - either starter and main or starter and dessert! Too many tables for small restaurant - obviously maximizing Kings theatre location -ended up at table right outside gents toilets and getting... More

Had a pre theatre dinner here before the theatre. There was a good choice on the menu and we settled for the calamari, it was lovely. For mains I had the meatballs and my daughter had the carbonara. Both mains were beautiful and filling. I had a large glass of rose which was well chilled and delicious. The service was... More

Me and the other half went here on Valentines night of this year. We booked through bookatable.com and got an excellent last minute deal: 2 courses and a bottle of prosecco/wine for £24.95pp. It is downstairs and I am sure there is disabled access but it would be best to ask (there might be a secret back door!!) Our reservation... More

I ate here after work for a colleagues leaving night. The service was good and the staff were very attentive given how busy they were, it is a very small restaurant (cosy). The food was perfectly good, bit disappointed with my mixed grill I wasn't asked how I would like the steak cooked. The price was reasonable c£25 per head... More

Dined here for a pre theatre meal before going to Aladdin with 3 adults and 3 kids and all of us enjoyed it. Minestrones and bruschettas for starters than lasagnes, couple of different pastas & pizzas which were all delicious and everyone was pleased! Had some desserts, Italian ice creams, tiramisu and Panna cottas which were all left a lovely... More

5 stars for everything, food, service, cheery welcome etc. Carbonara was voted the best ever tasted. A little bit cramped but well worth a visit. Will definitely be back here
