Not as expected.....

We booked a table in the restaurant for 7.30pm. Thinking we would be downstairs, we were actually upstairs next to the bar. The food was average and the service OK. If you want to be able to have a conversation with the person next to you I suggest requesting a table downstairs.

I visited last night at 9.30 pm, I had looked up their website previously and it said food served until 10.00pm. They said the kitchen was closed I challenged this saying they advertise service until 10. The barmaid went get the manager who came back apologetic and said they'd turned off the fryers as it had been quiet but they... More

Dropped in here out of the blue early Sat morning with a few mates for some breakfast ahead of a busy day pre wedding. We were looking for a greasy spoon joint with no luck when we popped in here. Once through the door it was like another world. The place oozed class and from the moment we were welcomed... More

Visited mid afternoon today with my wife. We ate from the Lunch/early two course dinner menu ( £11.95 per person). This menu is not extensive but has a reasonable selection of starters and mains. The restaurant was busy but the food arrived in a reasonable time and the quality and quantity of the food was very good. Our waiter was... More

We went to Browns prior to going to the theatre fo an early evening dinner. It was busy but not overcrowded and certainly not full. Table service was good but that was all. Food was expensive for what it was - basically overstated pub grub in a nice setting -and we had to wait well over an hour for lack... More

Friendly reception, good seating arrangements, very profession, superb food and prompt service. We arrived for an early dinner after a long day. We were seated promptly. Our server, Pedro, was prompt and helpful. I had a Steak Pie and my wife had a delightful chicken dish. We shared a delicious chocolate brownie with an espresso drink.
