I agree with others, food not hot enough and nothing great

Getting a drink took a fair bit of time even when there weren't a lot of people waiting to be served. When my food came it was the chicken pie, the pot was only half full. Pastry was fine but the mash with bacon was only mid warmish

This place has a pretty decent reputation, It is a very nice place but the food and staffing issues need to be addressed. Seemed to only be 1 waiter doing everything, felt sorry for the guy if am honest and left him a decent tip as he was working himself hard trying to seat and take everyones orders as well... More

Had 2 course lunch special served by a very pleasant waitress Mags. The main course was not warm and the wee bowl with bacon bits had no taste. The apple pie again was cool. The restaurant was not busy so saw no reason for this. I have been on a few occasions and it was most enjoyable. The table we... More

We went as a party of 8 adults and 3 kids for my dad's 70th birthday dinner. None of us had been before but we heard great things. From the point of booking the attention to detail was brilliant and I would thoroughly recommend Browns. The premises are impressive, the atmosphere is lovely (especially when the pianist is performing), the... More

Went here for valentines dinner. The baked camembert is to die for. It's a little pricey but if you're looking for a nice spot then this is a great choice. Good location too!

Went on a sat afternoon... The cocktails were brilliant but good was average. My starter was nice and was worth the money... However for my main I ordered the steak sandwich. I requested it to medium- rare... When it came it was well done. I did tell the waiter that it wasn't cooked right and he asked if I wanted... More

Visited with 5 friends, twice in 2 days, for cocktails and then for Sunday lunch. The staff were excellent in their customer service skills and cheerful, welcoming manner. Lovely cocktails and food. A bit pricey for Sunday lunch compared to many other places, at around £14 for a main course, but it was lovely.

We came upon Brown's at new year when we wanted live entertainment whilst having a meal, jazz. We got browns and we've been hooked ever since. The food is great wether it is the bar foods or a restaraunt meal. My favourite was the surf n turf. You won't be disappointed by the atmosphere, or the cost, or the food.... More

Went to treat ourselves to dinner here on a sunny evening. After being spoken to like an absolute idiot by a bar tender I returned my drinks and asked for a refund and left. As I was returning my drinks another customer was having a discussion with the exact same bar man about being expected to pay for a less... More
