Description: Situated on Mitchell St, Barolo Grill is two minutes walk from Central Station, Queen Street Station and the Buchanan St Underground Station. Ideal for a business lunch in one of our comfortable booths, celebrations and large parties, graduations and even just to take the weight off your feet while shopping with a well earned glass of Prosecco. The clue is in the name, as they say - and Barolo Grill is no exception. We pride ourselves on our top quality Scottish steaks, meats and seafood, cooked to perfection, and served with a contemporary Italian touch. Our extensive wine list offers the best in Italian varietals, and of course a superb selection of Barolo wines. We also specialise in superb focaccia and pizza, baked in our traditional Italian pizza oven and topped with fresh ingredients.

Went back to the Barolo after a very poor customer service experience last summer when I wanted to have a drink in the terrace and was refused. Always heard good things about the food though so gave it a second chance and glad that I did. Really lovely surroundings, warm and welcoming and comfortable on a cold Saturday afternoon in... More

First visited over the Christmas period for our office lunch. I was very impressed with the service. Efficient and friendly despite the restaurant being very busy. Visited again in the New Year as a couple. We had the prawn and calamari dishes to start which were both lovely and then followed with the steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and... More

I spent a lovely afternoon with friends over the festive period. We had a great waitress (didn't get her name, small blonde and Eastern European) nothing was too much trouble. I had the best Ceasar Salad with the Anchovies in a separate dish. My friends had the pizza and said it was lovely. It is situated 5 minutes from Central... More

We decided to have dinner here for New Years Eve. Atmosphere was great if not a little packed, but what can you expect on New Years. Lovely food, good value for money. But unfortunately we were left waiting for everything. I wouldn't have minded this considering it was a busy night. But what really did upset us was that when... More

You know how you dread another meal out over the Christmas period - more of the same old sub-standard stuff slapped down to you - well not at Barolo. To be honest I was here a couple of years ago and was underwhelmed but chose it on this occassion (from 5pm) as the price was not 'rip off' and the... More

Had a fantastic meal here on Christmas Eve. The food and staff were great. After being advised when booking that only the A La Carte would be available on Christmas Eve, the lunchtime menu did not disappoint with three courses for £19.95 which was a nice surprise. After perusing the A La Carte, we all found what we wanted to... More

Second visit to this restaurant -not sure if I will go back anytime soon though. Menu is interesting and the food in general good - however on both visits I would have to say that the service we received was pretty poor and not what I would have expected from the supposed standard of this restaurant. The first time we... More

A cold, rainy night in Glasgow, need warming up? This is a good place to try. Warm welcome even though I was solo. A glass of merlot, always a good start. I then chose the Arancine (breaded mushroom and rissotto balls, with salad and truffle oil) which I have never had before, and they tasted delicious. Followed by Rigatone con... More
