Situated on Mitchell St, Barolo Grill is two minutes walk from Central Station, Queen Street Station and the Buchanan St Underground Station. Ideal for a business lunch in one of our comfortable booths, celebrations and large parties, graduations and even just to take the weight off your feet while shopping with a well earned glass of Prosecco. The clue is in the name, as they say - and Barolo Grill is no exception. We pride ourselves on our top quality Scottish steaks, meats and seafood, cooked to perfection, and served with a contemporary Italian touch. Our extensive wine list offers the best in Italian varietals, and of course a superb selection of Barolo wines. We also specialise in superb focaccia and pizza, baked in our traditional Italian pizza oven and topped with fresh ingredients.

Excellent food and service

Our first visit, at the suggestion of our friends, was a throughly great choice. We had the set menu, and every course was outstanding. Our main courses were chicken, salmon(2) and fillet steak - all superb. The staff were efficient and very friendly, especially our main waitress. We hope to return... read more

Over-priced, turgid Scottish Italian muck. Game terrine - tasteless with the consistency of carbolic soap. Steak was decent but served with overcooked non spicy broccoli and under-cooked potato fondant. Although the place was empty, service was slow. Never again.

I have been to this restaurant a few times now and love the atmosphere. We normally choose from the set lunch menu - 2 courses £12.95 or 3 courses for £16.95. The choice is fine and it is good value for money. I opted for the Olives and Bread for my starter and it would easily have fed two. For... More

delicious meal once again in this restuarant with a delicious fish for the main course. I was so looking forward to my cheeseboard dessert but was a little disappointed this time as the cheeses were a little bland where the previous time the cheeses were sumptuous. The service however was great as ever. We did mention the cheese to the... More

This is definitely not an "entry level" restaurant for introduction to Italian cuisine. Unless you are willing to settle for a steak, and wonder why you are there in the first place, the menu is rather sophisticated and bordering on pretentious. Even the pizza toppings are rather exquisite. That said, the quality of food was very good and of high... More

I know Barolo is a popular restaurant but sometimes the more popular restaurants get they just loose that edge so I hope Barolo doesn't become too popular...Sorry guys. The food was lovely, quality was excellent ant a very good selection. For a Glasgow City Centre Diner it was not over priced looking to take out a second mortgage either. This... More
