Situated on Mitchell St, Barolo Grill is two minutes walk from Central Station, Queen Street Station and the Buchanan St Underground Station. Ideal for a business lunch in one of our comfortable booths, celebrations and large parties, graduations and even just to take the weight off your feet while shopping with a well earned glass of Prosecco. The clue is in the name, as they say - and Barolo Grill is no exception. We pride ourselves on our top quality Scottish steaks, meats and seafood, cooked to perfection, and served with a contemporary Italian touch. Our extensive wine list offers the best in Italian varietals, and of course a superb selection of Barolo wines. We also specialise in superb focaccia and pizza, baked in our traditional Italian pizza oven and topped with fresh ingredients.

My good Lady had dined in this wee gem on a couple of occasions with various friends, but last Saturday evening she dropped in after a little shopping trip with the daughters, a fortune spent but not at the restaurant as their prices were reasonable. They all enjoyed what they had and all had different meals. So on the Monday... More

For the price we paid (£80 for two including wine) I would have hoped for something rather better. There was nothing actually wrong with any of the food it was just that some of it was a bit underwhelming.

Visited Barolo Grill for the second time yesterday. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated at a lovely booth at the window. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. We had the option of the full a la carte menu or the fixed price menu. The options on the fixed price menu were excellent so... More

My wife and I decided to head to Barolo as part of the Celtic Connections festival special. I was performing so we were entitled to a discount as part of the festival. It was a great way to start the tour. We ordered 2 x 3 course meals. My 3 courses: Eglefino Affumicato E Porro Tortino (Smoked haddock and leek... More

This was an early evening, midweek dinner booked via 5pm.The surroundings were pleasant with modern décor. The restaurant was quiet and the service was excellent. Both courses were of a good standard and I'm likely to make a return visit.

We ate here for lunch. We didn't have a reservation but were dealt with promptly and efficiently by the maitre d. We ate from the set menu, but plenty choice and the good was served quickly. It was also fresh and piping hot. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Very handy for Buchannan St and Central Station. Will be back.

I recently came here for a birthday celebration after reading positive reviews. I found both the service and food lacking in quality. Food did not come meeting requirements specified and the staff were both rude and unhelpful. If celebrations arent welcome, perhaps this should be mentioned at time of booking? Felt so unwelcome, bill was requested before main was served!

Had a nice early dinner here with my mum. Good value early evening menu although portions are on the small side which does mean however that there is space for desert. Service is attentive although verging on the over attentive during the time that we were there. I assume it must have been a shift swap time and this was... More

Went for business dinner. Asked chef to do some dishes, based on whatever fresh raw material he had available, which turned out to be a good idea. Tempura fired fish / vegetables, pizza, salads, ham, chese etc. Nice atmosphere, but very few guests. at 23.00 it got very obvious that servants wanted to go home. 3 people staring at us... More
