We eat out a lot and I have to say the service in Opium was the best I've ever experienced, professional and intuitive. Food was stunning and Dim Sum was outstanding. This was a culinary experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend.

i have visited opium with a variety of different people including friends, family and partner. I enjoy it thoroughly each time i go. I would highly recommend ordering enough small plates for your party instead of each ordering a dish each, the smaller plates are tastier, more exciting and more social! Whenever i fancy oriental i come to opium!

Like most of the other reviewers, we found the food at Opium to be delicious, well-prepared and surprisingly filling. For what they charge, you should get an excellent meal. The quality of the service was impressed me. We were treated respectfully but with a friendly touch. We felt like we were dining with people who were glad to see us. The... More

I hosted a business dinner for a group of Scottish & Chinese guests. The food was absolutely fantastic, service was excellent and the ambience in this restaurant was great. I will definitely return with my husband and friends.

The interior was smart and the staff welcoming. We chose: Crab Meat chive dumpling that was ok, Opium's Ribs were very good, Hainan chicken and Malay Satay chicken and 2 rice, that were ok. 2 Lagers and 2 house white wines. The total cost of £50.

Between two of us, we had a mixture of 6 steamed and fried dim sum starters to share, followed by the king prawn and scallop in xo sauce to share. The dimsum was distinctly average; the main was tasty but none of the food we ate was worth the expensive bill (it included two bottles of beer, so drinks didn't... More

I've been to Opium with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day and had the set dinner consisting of 3 courses and a glass of complementary Prosecco. The food was all absolutely brilliant; great fusion of Asian flavours! The service was also very good, with very helpful and welcoming staff, which made the atmosphere really relaxing and the food to be delivered... More

We passed by without hgaving read any reviews and decided to go in. Clean and neat interior with pleasent staff. We are not great fans of chinese food and did not expect much. However, the meal was far better than we anticipated and put previous (albeit limited numbers of Chinese meals) to shame. I had a mushroom soup which seemed... More

After reading the rave reviews went last night with my daughter. We were not disappointed. SCRUM YUM. Shared a starter, Chillies stuffed with Prawns then had mains of Tiger Prawns & Scallops and Thai Chilli Beef with one portion of Fried Rice between us. We struggled to finish our food but as it was soooooo delicious managed, leaving just a... More

After reading the reviews i thought this restaurant would be lovely for a dinner out with my mother. We love Din Sum so thought we would get a selection and maybe a main to share. We stopped and the Din Sum and left. First we were seated no problem but we waited ages before anyone came to take our order,... More
