Something a little bit magical happens when you visit MacSorleys in Glasgow. We pop in once every couple of months on a Saturday to catch Muldoon's Rag Time Jazz Band-usually accompanied by older members of our family who've made the trip as part of the jazz scene. It's an incredible fusion of an older and younger crowd and it has... More

Despite working close by for almost 6 years, my colleagues and I had never visited Macsorleys and so decided to give it a go on our lunch hour. Traditional, dark, Glasgow pub with upstairs restaurant area - so far so good... Our drinks arrived, then there was a lull broken by the delivery of a jug of water and a... More

I went with family for a few drinks while staying in the area. It was a nice atmosphere with relatively cheap drinks. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely revisit!

Went last Saturday to MacSorley's for their fish tea, on a recommendation from a friend. We had seats overlooking the bar and music stage. The service was first class and the food was superb. Bread and butter, lovely piece of haddock in light batter and hand cut chips. This was followed by scones, jam, cream and a pot of tea,... More

We were staying just up the road so called in for a drink before having a meal. There was a blues band on later which we didn't return to see as we don't really like blues but there was a DJ on earlier and that was fine. Drinks expensive but we were not sure how much a large wine and... More

Popped in here as we were stopping at the nearby Jury's Inn. I love these kind of 'Muso' pubs, playing guitar myself, and also played in a few pubs myself over the years I enjoy the musical feel of pubs like this. We combined a meal with also catching some of the local talent on an 'Open Mic' night. The... More

We went last Saturday to listen to a Jazz/blues band. When we arrived as you entered there was a smell off urine so we moved to the other side of the bar. The smell was just as bad and we could not stay. The music we heard in the very brief period we were there was good and the premises... More
