Curious location. Superb meal. Cheerful and welcoming staff. I had the Fish of the Day at dinner, which turned out to be a lovely thick fillet of Coley, pan-fried and presented in a light cream sauce with mussels over a bed of cabbage, leeks and cilantro maybe? (Suspect I have not captured all of the ingredients.) Nicely presented new potato... More

Treated my husband for Father's Day and decided to give cafe source a try. We enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal with a bottle of wine for £50. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout. The food was plentiful and delicious.. Much of the food was homegrown in Scotland which was a bonus . It was slightly too noisy due... More

I called at Cafe Source for Lunch on a recent Saturday after a visit to the nearby “Barras” market. When I arrived the premises were quite empty but it seemed to be understaffed, there was some delay before I got a Menu and got started. Later the Restaurant filled up with Kilted guests who were attending a Wedding upstairs and... More

It's been some time since I have been at Cafe source. The food was as good as I remember it. My husband had the wonderful clam chowder and the goats cheese tartlet was fantastic. Positions great size as we struggled to finish our mains. Lunch cost £46 for 3 including free drinks. Service very attentive and surroundings clean and welcoming.... More

We found this truly unique cafe when we got off the hop on hop off city tour bus. So glad we went in for a quick drink! Great atmosphere, loved the layout and design of the cafe. Tried Glayva liqueur and loved it. My new favorite drink!!

A restaurant in the basement of a church, a strange concept I thought. Located under St. Andrew’s church in the Merchant City its modern minimalistic décor and open plan gives a pleasant dining experience. They specialised in Scottish cuisine, all locally sourced. There is a map on one of the main supporting pillars showing the sources of their produce. The menus... More

First visit was so good we went back 6 days later. £50 deal is very good value for money. Great if you are really hungry as portions are large. Lovely ambiance too. On our first visit our trainee waitress Jasmine (Yasmine?) was an absolute delight. On our second visit our male server forgot to offer us our "free dram". Never... More

Midweek dinner on the 5pm deal. Glass of wine, which was great, excellent tasting and presented 2 course meal with a dram of whisky all for £13.95. A great setting inside, you would struggle to find better value for money anywhere inGlasgow!

I really used to like this restaurant but was very disappointed by our visit this time. The food was bland and seemed like it was reheated. Some food was quite greasy and oily. It was poorly presented. Staff forgot drinks orders. Menu never seems to change much and the atmosphere was lacking. Such a pity as this used to be... More
