We were Rumbledethumped!

Lovely venue with excellent scottish themed food that's a little off the beaten track. Smoked haddock mac and cheese is always a favorite, as is anything with a side of haggis rumbledethumps. The puddings are also lovely and beautifully presented. While this restaurant is not in the centre of... read more

Went for dinner before a Celtic Connections gig and chose the great deal of 2 courses for £14.95 which included a glass of wine. Being in the hospitality trade myself, I did have thoughts of small portions and vinegar wine! How wrong was I!!!! The food was out-standing home made, large portions using Scotland's finest foods, and the wine was... More

Recently ate here with friends before heading upstairs to Celtic Connections event. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had the pre-theatre menu which includes a glass of wine and everyone enjoyed their meal. A very good selection of dishes along with a special board to suit all tastes. This was the first visit but I doubt it will be... More

Shared a wonderful pre theatre meal. Trio of pates, goats cheese , fish and chips, beef daube, sticky toffee pudding and crime brûlée. Two free glasses of wine. Visited this venue several times, and the standard is still great. The staff add to the experience.

Our second visit to this excellent restaurant, a perfect start to a night of music in the Hall above, for Celtic Connections. The restaurant offers an extensive pre-theatre menu, which includes a glass of wine, soft drink or tea/coffee as part of the price. We started with the pate and salmon bagel, followed by chicken and halloumi salads, both huge... More

Visited here for the first time with friends recently despite living in Glasgow for years. Wasn't disappointed! What i really liked was the menu selection many home comfort type dishes available yet clearly everything was using top quality ingredients from the menu descriptions. Two of us had haddock and chips which were delicious - fish was extremely fresh and the... More

Visited this establishment last night for a pre concert dinner. The food was fantastic, as was the service and the price. I would highly recommend it.

Had visited here once before back in January 2015. Visited last night for my birthday (17th December 2015) for dinner. Thought it was just as good as before. Main meals were fantastic, I had the sausages, my brother had a burger and my dad had fish and we all thought these were very good and didn't take too long to... More
