I visited this restaurant, now know as 'The Lebanese', with my wife in a relaxed mood. We had purchased a voucher on groupon worth £42 and presented this to the waiter. We ordered from the a la carte menu, only to be told by the manager that the groupon voucher was only valid for the paper menu, despite having it... More

I visited this restaurant - now called just "The Lebanese" - on a quiet Friday night with my girlfriend. Being a huge fan of Lebanese cuisine, and practically living on the food of Edgware Road every time I'm in London, I was keen to see what was on offer in central Scotland. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The... More

First time I had Lebanese food and enjoyed it, portions were huge and well presented. However it was a huge spider in the toilet which it wasn't very pleasant, also the restaurant was completely empty which it makes and awkward atmosphere and slightly uncomfortable.

We had a meal here in the early evening and were served by the owner, who was welcoming and very helpful. The food was excellent - one of my friends has spent a lot of time in Lebanon and declared it to be wonderful. The portions were large and the garlic sauce was amazing. Apparently there are plans for a... More

We have been to Falafel Petra on a number of occasions. I am vegetarian and enjoy falafel. Its usually been quiet with only one or two tables taken. The salads vary in freshness and the garnishings can be different on the same dish depending on when you go. When they get it right the food is wonderful, but on most... More

Visited this restaurant and were the only customers, the owner is also the chef and waiter and we asked him to recommend dishes. We were very happy with the choice and quality of food, he clearly puts a lot of effort in being his own business. Big big downside are the prices, for a location on gibson st and not... More

Visited the other night with my boyfriend after we planned to go out for dinner and then didn't end up leaving the house till after nine (oops!). We were having a wander seeing where was still serving but I didn't fancy anything till we passed by Falafel Petra. They were still serving even though it was 10 by this point... More

The staff is only good if you are not a student. And I mean it. Two times we got rude attitude from the owner himself. However, we ordered falafel wraps, which were not hot at all but yes the portion is big.
