Really nice homecooked food and great service

We visited the Black Sheep Bistro on a Friday evening at 9pm and it was still buzzing and had a nice atmosphere. Service was very friendly and attentive and explained everything and answered any questions we had and were very accommodating when we just wanted a small nibble as a starter. We... read more

After seeing this restaurant listed as the #2 restaurant in Glasgow on Trip Advisor, and seeing they had my favorite Scottish soup on their menu, Cullen Skink, I immediately made a reservation. Well, I was rather surprised as the evening unfolded. This is a sweet little restaurant, very nice staff, good Cullen Skink, ok everything else, very down home atmosphere,... More

A small restaurant near St George's Cross. Good atmosphere for Sunday lunchtime. Food is traditional home made style cooking. Had lentil soup and a steak pie. Both delicious and big portions so no room for desert. Service excellent and only minor criticism was main course was on the expensive side. Would recommend though.

We went to The Black Sheep after a positive recommendation and what a find! From the minute we went in, when the waitress knew my name (from the booking by e mail) till the minute we left, when staff offered to call us a taxi, we loved everything about this place. The menu had a large number of choices and... More

We visited this little gem whilst house hunting in the area, what a pleasure it was to be served by such lovely friendly staff and the food was amazing. Like other reviewers I agree portion size is on the large side but, I'm not complaining I could have eaten 2 plates of scallops & black pudding easily! The steak pie... More

Went to the Black sheep bistro for a family birthday. The restaurant is small but very welcoming. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone. The food is fantastic and I would highly recommend the black sheep bistro.

Went for dinner for my wife's birthday after reading the reviews. Seven of us just about managed to squeeze into what is a small restaurant but the food was more than worth it. Staff were very friends but the food is the reason people rave about the place. We had five different mains and everyone enjoyed them the deserts also... More

This place is a bit off the beaten track but worth looking for, only a few minutes walk from the tub station too. Home cooked style food and big portions so I was happy. Will return soon

This is a small restaurant offering home cooked food. The portions are big if that's what you're into. No frills, not much atmosphere but nice staff and not bad food. If you're looking for something a bit special this is not the place.

Nice refreshing place to go where the people and the food are real. Great quality food and plenty of it. Nice family run restaurant atmosphere with friendly staff :-)
