We loved it here but it are loth to share with others as it will become even harder to book. The food was outstanding. Portions are large so it's either a starter or dessert with a main - although they do provide doggy bags. Good wine list too. The service was the most friendly experienced almost anywhere. It is cosy... More

Had a lovely Meal here in February but, was Very dissapointed when we were There on Friday night 27/March.. We went this time as 2 couples, 2 of which were Pescetarian, as I had had a gorgeous leek & goats cheese pie previously..I was assuming I could have the Same..I had raved about this place since my First visit, but... Booking is essential at this little bistro. The place its self is at the St George’s cross end of Maryhill road. The food was really very good and despite there being a large group just in front of us the service was perfect. Starters was the scallops and black pudding - fantastic For mains we went for the steak and... More

It might be difficult to find, but it's well worth it. In the past few years, a number of small restaurants have popped up around Glasgow and the Black Sheep Bistro is one of them, and one of the best. Book early enough in advance to avoid disappointment, as the restaurant is fairly small. However, they make the space work... More

We travelled through to the BSB from Edinburgh for a change of scene and having been impressed by the TripAdvisor reviews. Instantly on arrival we were warmly welcomed and given a seat to one side. Even on a Tuesday night the place was packed and we were glad we had booked. We both ordered the lentil and ham soup to... More

Hefty prices for hefty portions. Simply presented food...which is fine..but was not as flavoursome as I was led to believe by reviews. Service was ok..and we left full.. But Feel it was quantity over quality

I had been given a voucher for the Black Sheep Bistro for my birthday and we used it to go for Sunday Dinner on a wet afternoon in February. The staff were welcoming and although the place is very small and all the tables were taken it wasn't too noisy. The food was excellent. We had a haggis starter which... More

The trip to The Black Sheep was delightful. I have yet to leave the restaurant and I already feel compelled to get this place the recognition it deserves. The food menu is varied. Prices are slightly above what you expect but they provide massive portions. For just over £20, I got a goats cheese and red onion tarte to start... More
