Heard a few good reviews and thought we would try it for ourselves. Our expectations were high, and we were still blown away by the attention to detail and quality of the dishes. Absolutely flawless, its impossible to fault the restaurant, staff, atmosphere and food. Sheer perfection.

Great food and service smallish ala carte menu 4 of each course. Great produce well cooked and presented with a French twist. Presented with a very tasty mushroom veloute taster/appetiser. One of colleagues had mushroom intolerance and very quickly and with no fuss offered an alternative. Think between five of us we had just about every item on menu, all... More

I visited on a Thurs early evening when the 'market menu' is available from 5.30 to 9pm. At only £17 for two courses, including canapés, an amuse bouche and delicious crusty rolls it feels like a fine dining experience at a bargain price. The service was good and the atmosphere was very cozy and relaxed. The food was absolutely delicious... More

So pleased we booked this for our Sunday lunch on a flying visit to Glasgow. We enjoyed a delightful five course taster menu, and I had the wine flight to accompany. All the courses were delicious with careful presentations and light flavours that came through nicely. I opted for the cheese course as an extra and that was very good,... More

We are regular visitors to Cail Bruich and have yet to find a restaurant that matches it for quality or service in the West End. Have pretty much tried, many times, others in the area and often can't even pull together a description of their food, sometimes good and sometimes not so good. Have a tendency to write reviews if... I've spotted a few things online recently about the place getting a bad rep - mainly the response to negative feedback via social media. Visited back in October to check out the seven course taster menu - it was a totally decadent evening affair. Each course tasted better than the next, we left really stuffed...and skipped the cheese board that... More

Hello iheartsoup, Thank you for your excellent comments and ratings. I apologise if the staff seemed this way, it could almost be classed as an art in judging if some customers are OK with that interaction, vs some which would prefer to savour the experience with little interaction. I will double check with them all that they are comfortable in... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch. We had been before and enjoyed a very nice 5 course taster menu. On this occasion we both started with a very nice butternut squash soup. It was delicious, but the crockery the soup was served in wasn't quite up to the mark for an establishment that won Best Restaurant... More

This restaurant is an absolute gem. We visited in November at lunchtime and had the tasting menu. Words cannot describe how delicious this meal was. Each course was a delight. The staff were attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. The food was definitely fine dining, but not pretentious in the slightest. The setting is relaxed and informal, but you still... More
