We had the tasting menu, so we knew it would be pricey. The food was good, but VERY adventurous. I appreciate that, when it's a tasting menu, but I didn't really love much of it. That was a bummer. One course was pigeon breast, another was grouse. The fish course was outstanding. We added the additional cheese course, which was... More

Took in laws for their 40th anniversary and they opted for the al a carte menu. Everyone was impressed with their food-flavoursome and elegantly presented. I had the chicken terrine followed by cod and both dishes were fresh with bold flavours. I then had the strawberry parfait which was simply gorgeous. My mother was especially impressed with her soufflé. The... More

My wife and I had the five-course tasting menu with wine (£65 per person). It was nicely served by attentive staff, and the food was very, very good. The place is worthy of its high ranking.

We were lucky enough to visit Cail Bruich 3 times in 3 weeks during July/August. Having eaten at many great restaurants over the years, I can honestly say that Cail Bruich is top of the list. The ingenious cooking, the great service and the wonderful menu have to be experienced. We can't wait for our next visit.

We purchased an 5 course Tasting Menu with Glass of Prosecco from Itison after reading Tripadvisor reviews on this Glasgow restaurant as it normally trends between 1 and 2 [along with our favourite, Number 16] we thought we were in for a treat. It has taken us a while to write this review as we were uncertain what exactly to... More

Hello Anjip, We won't be for everyone who walks through our doors, and I'm perfectly OK with that. But why not tell us this at the time? We can't rectify it so readily on TripAdvisor. You also don't offer any explanation as to what exactly didn't meet your expectations. You have also said there was nothing to really complain about... More

Talk about saving the best for last! On our last day in Glasgow and after having eaten extensively and very well during our stay and after an interesting morning at the Hunterian Museum and Gallery, we recalled that Cail Bruch was open that day, being their first day back after summer holidays. A low key shopfront in keeping with the... More

Myself and my colleagues were directed to this little gem of a restaurant and were not disappointed. Very welcoming staff, great use of local produce, including Scotland's famous haggis, in dishes that were very well received. Not badly priced and in a very good area. Glad to have found the Cail Bruich!

I was treated to a taster menu (7 course plus 5 wines) which had been a deal with Itison. The whole experience was outstanding, every course explained in detail, similarly the wines. Some very novel items, and all excellent quality. Service was similarly exceptional. I look forward to returning.

A short cab ride or, even better, less than a block from an "Hop On & Off" bus stop, this is the real culinary deal as aptly endorsed by previous TripAdvisor reviewers. The menu changes based on what is seasonally available, so you have to rely on our assurances that everything we had was excellent. The venue was informal but... More
