Scottish farmers are known the world over for their dedication to The Cause and their consistently high-standards. That’s why you’ll find that almost everything on our menu was either reared here, harvested here or was landed right here on the shores of Scotland. Our approach to cooking is typically no-nonsense too; we source the finest ingredients like 28-day hung Scotch beef and seafoods from local waters, add a little flair and influence from the Auld Alliance and simply let the food do the talking. We think you’ll love the Bo’Vine difference!

Mixed, not for an appetite

The service was good. The ambience was good. The food presentation was excellent, and the actual quality was good too. That much was all good. I went with a large group, and mostly people went for the steak - I didn't hear much to say that these were either good or bad, so I'd think that... read more

We were already in the Hilton Hotel, because my daughter was going to sing at an event there. In looking for a place to have an early dinner, we were confronted by crowded & noisy restaurants in the local area. My idea to return to the hotel & have our meal in their restaurant was initially met with scepticism, but... More

Excellent food, staff, & atmosphere. Really enjoyed it & will be back . It was for a friends special birthday & the chap that was front of house was excellent hiding our shop bought cake & bringing it out at right time! We then ate that in restaurant which was great given we weren't expecting that! Lovely service, great food... More

Typical hotel breakfast buffet Decent spread with fresh fruit, pastries and full Scottish (haggis and black pudding) Only missing the square sausage tho Sadly the pancakes and waffles aren't freshly made, but more of the microwave variety Served its purpose, so no major issues from my side

Be carfeul how you order your steak. Looking forward to tucking into my (pricey) fillet and it was half the size of those at the table with the same order! Apparently asking for 'medium / well done' gets you a smaller cut. I had met a group of friends here for a catch up during festive period and in all... More

Stayed in the Hilton on Sunday for a wedding across the road, and saw adverts in the hotel for a 2 course steak meal for 2 with a bottle of wine for £40. As we were in a bit of a rush, decided to opt for that, but not expecting fantastic food or portions for that price. Wrong! He had... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday evening in this restaurant. Friendly, attentive staff without being over the top. Great atmosphere. Starters of black pudding and carpaccio of venison were very nice but the steaks (sirloin & fillet) were fantastic! Cooked to perfection! Accompaniments of mushroom, onion rings, veg and chips didn't disappoint either. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Can't fault it - friendly and professional service, stylish interior, exciting menu, good food. Not the cheapest of places but highly recommended for celebrations.

I love my steak and some does my wife and teenage children. This was one of the best meals we have had in a very long time. Just superb. The service, the presentation, the flavour, the texture were all exceptional. Just very very impressed. Thank you for a most awesome meal that we all could not stop talking about. Very... More

Stay at the Hilton chain regularly and quite frankly the food is usually mediocre and drastically overpriced but it was cold and wet outside so I thought let's see what's up? Had the pre-theatre menu which was actualy within company budget and not expecting much but the whole experience was ace!! The staff are lovely, couldn't do enough and they... More
