Description: Scottish farmers are known the world over for their dedication to The Cause and their consistently high-standards. That’s why you’ll find that almost everything on our menu was either reared here, harvested here or was landed right here on the shores of Scotland. Our approach to cooking is typically no-nonsense too; we source the finest ingredients like 28-day hung Scotch beef and seafoods from local waters, add a little flair and influence from the Auld Alliance and simply let the food do the talking. We think you’ll love the Bo’Vine difference!

We have been to Bo'vine before and on the first occasion it was great. Second occasion it was mediocre to say the least. Our third visit was with friends who made the reservation. The value for money here is shocking. The portions are small even on the a la carte menu. I have said it before, do yourselves a favour... More

Two different meals = two different opinions!! I had £15 2 course early bird menu and she had 3 courses from La Carte for £25 . Mine included a sirloin steak which would be £17 on normal menu and black pudding normally £6. Therefore £23 . So I received superb food for a low cost . Both goats cheese and... More

A party of six of us recently visited Bovine. We had been before and received excellent food and service. We weren't disappointed the second time. Steaks were done to perfection and staff were very accommodating. Steaks came with a peppercorn sauce which I don't like. I asked if I could have a red wine jus and it was no problem... More

I was staying in the Hilton and didn't have the desire to venture far for dinner, so Bo'vine seemed ideal. The service was excellent, the cocktails VERY good, but the food was average and in terms of the appetizer (Mackerel) was extremely miserly with a 2" piece of fish ! I ordered the mixed grill for my entree and it... More

This was unfortunately a very disappointing experience, booked as a celebration meal. Two of our party of three ordered the skate as main course. When this arrived the fish did not look right and we only had to put a fork in the fish to smell a strong smell of ammonia, which is as I understand it a well known... More

Visited tonight and my friend and I chose the pre theatre market menu ... Incredibly value. 2 courses for £14.95 , 3 coursed £18.95. The starters were delicious . I had the black pudding which was flavoursome and incredibly light followed by the steak which was cooked to perfection. My friend agreed that the steaks were top quality and given... More

Larger inside than appears from the outside, this restaurant is impressive; tables well spaced out and the pleasant decor creates the atmosphere. Food was lovely, steaks well cooked and very tender. Service was with a smile - a slight delay in taking our drinks order was compensated (without us asking) by offering us a free bottle of wine. Nice touch!

Four of us visited for the second time and once again we could not fault it, all three courses we had were first class as was the service from all of The waiting staff. Would not hesitate to recommend it to everyone.

Friendly staff who were customer focused. Good menu selection and service was fast and efficient. Plenty of room, but busy on a Saturday night.
