Scottish farmers are known the world over for their dedication to The Cause and their consistently high-standards. That’s why you’ll find that almost everything on our menu was either reared here, harvested here or was landed right here on the shores of Scotland. Our approach to cooking is typically no-nonsense too; we source the finest ingredients like 28-day hung Scotch beef and seafoods from local waters, add a little flair and influence from the Auld Alliance and simply let the food do the talking. We think you’ll love the Bo’Vine difference!

Disappointing - too much money for poor service and adequate food

Just had a very disappointing dining experience here the other Saturday having looked forward to a bit of fine dining after watching Scotland get beat by France. Went here with high expectations. It took a rather unfriendly waitress almost 10 minutes to acknowledge us and then she wandered off without a word before returning and eventually seating us, oddest part of that was there were only 3 other tables occupied at 7 on a Friday. Starters arrived mines was rock solid, I literally couldn't get a knife... More

May I thank you for taking the time to write such an in depth review at Bo’vine. After immediately being shocked by the content and frustrated by the content, I’ve have managed to Identify the booking and where/why there seems to be such a scathing nature of a review. I apologise that on Valentine’s day the time you wish to... More

Amazing birthday dinner. My husband and I tried the pigeon as starter, mixed grill for main and we shared the selection of desserts. Amazing in all ways, value for money and the taste is amazing. Definitely recommend it.

I had a lovely meal with my girlfriend. Setting is lovely, classy but not pretentious. I had a pre-dinner cocktail which was delicious. My mid-rare fillet was cooked perfectly. Why you would get it cooked any other way is beyond me. We shared the dessert, I forget the name but you have many small samples of various dishes, lovely. Service... More

I don't leave reviews often but had to here. We went as a table of 4 on a Saturday night. The starters were nice enough, I had the scallops, but it wasn't overly hot. 3 of us ordered fillet steaks with only 1 of them being cooked properly. 1 was ordered "well done" and came cooked this way but completely... Party of seven celebrating 3 family birthdays. My son and I had the lobster and Chateaubriand , lobster dry and overcooked presentation sloppy for 88 pounds not good value and cheeseboard very measly for 8 pound. We definitely won't be back.

Pleasant meal here. Service excellent with very attentive friendly staff. Steaks all good quality, tasty and reasonably priced. Good wine list. It was particularly quiet on the night we were there and the atmosphere was a little subdued but I am sure with a few more table filled it would have been better. Restaurant also cold and consequently diners were... More

Fantastic steaks, cooked to perfection. The service was great, friendly but not overbearing. Great selection of wine too - was quite happy to see a lot of white wines available despite it being a steak restaurant! Overall, one of the best restaurants I've visited, and would definitely return.
