You can almost certainly do better

The Red Chillis is very conveniently located and offers a fixed "tapas" menu, which comprises of a few starters and about 10 different dishes with either chicken, lamb, prawns or veg. Price varies considerably from £6 at lunch to £10 before 7.30pm to £15 after 7.30. The place was empty apart... read more

I arranged the children and then we asked about the buffet and we were advised they had... More

This place is truly awful. The worst eating out experience i have ever had. We had booked a table for 7 people on a Sat night. When we arrived the girl had no record of our booking but seated us at a table for 6. We had to move an extra table alongside ourselves. We asked the waitress what starters... More

I recently popped into India 57 (formerly known as Red Chillies). It was a terrible experience with terrible staff and I have never known such a terrible experience. I actually paid to leave before my main meal arrived - after waiting an hour for the starter who wouldn't? I could go on but I feel rather strongly that the most... More

Restaurant well presented, exceptionally clean. Was offered personal variations on menu choice if required. Service was excellent, meal was delicious and well presented. Could not fault any part of our dining experience.

Completely shambolic and a rip off. I went in to find it empty (a bad sign) and when I ordered I was told that some of the (already vanishingly limited) menu was never available. The starter was ok, but the main course was greasy, salty, bland (even though I asked for a spicy dish) and unpleasant. They tried to avoid... More

I have been at Red Chillies maybe 3 or 4 times over the past year, but after the terrible last visit I will not be back. I booked a table for 8 people 2 weeks in advance and asked at the time if it would be ok to bring our own alcohol and pay a corkage charge (which we have... More

Went in yesterday 06/02/10. What a mistake. We had the lunch, which fair enough you are expecting to be a little smaller but it was teeny!!! The starters came out. I had Onion bhajis and my partner had veg pakora. Both were definite re-heats. Two bits of pakora weren't heated/cooked at all. It tasted like it had been cooked and... More

Where do I start? 26 of us had booked for my nieces 30th birthday. When we arrived there wasnt enough ice buckets or wine glasses out. We asked for more and are still waiting. One of the ice buckets was leaking and soaked a girls dress and they refused to change it. The Tapas menu is misleading. Its just curries but smaller... More
