Came here last night with some friends after choir at the City Chambers. It was the last day of the school term, so we were up for a good evening. At only 10 o'clock the waitress was looking at her watch, sighing deeply and making it known she was tired and bored, this was very rude! There was hardly anyone in the bar,... I've been going to Bacchus for years now and it has never let me down. I usually have the macaroni cheese and chips and it's always super creamy and cheese and the chips are always cooked to perfection. I usually go at lunch time as they do a great lunch time deal, any portion of pasta with chips for £6.50.... More

Lucky that we happened upon this place. Stopped here for dinner. Three of us had caprice salad and the fish and chips. One person had the homemade soup and ravioli. Everything was delicious and they do a super job with the pasta. Had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was to die for! Food and service both excellent.

Went for lunch with friends and took advantage of the 2 courses for £5.95 deal and we were all thoroughly impressed. The calamari was some of the best I've had, and the fajita wrap was brilliant. The service was fantastic and I really couldn't fault anything about our experience.

Popped in to Bacchus Sunday 20th April with husband and other couple. The misfits were playing to a very attentive audience great band and fantastic atmosphere. We also ate and as always food was fab. Definitely will be going along again on a Sunday thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and entertainment.

Went for dinner through groupon voucher. Initial thoughts were it did seem more of a bar than restaurant. Staff were very friendly. I had mussels with white wine sauce for starters and fish and chips for mains. The sauce in the mussels werent great. Seemed more like a thicker sauce for a pasta. Fish and chips were average. Patner had... More

Sorry you didn't enjoy everything more. We do try to let people know that indeed we are a bar and not a restaurant (as explained on our website and trip adviser). As such we are proud of our good quality Bar food . My apologies for this perhaps not being made clear enough when you were purchasing the voucher. Glad... More

Bought for £18 for lunch for two on Groupon , we visited on Saturday 18th Jan , made out booking for 2pm , when we first entered we were a bit unsure as to whether we were in the right place or not as it seemed more like a pub than a Restuarant , after speaking to a very friendly... More
