Simply bravo! Good service good ambiance excellent steaks with high quality garniture and beer. The weekest point was the cheese cake but never mind, I vill come back anyway.

My boyfriend and I dined here last night and were overwhelmed by the quality of food and service provided. Although it seems expensive, the meals were worth every penny. We both had rib eye which was a very generous size with chunky chips and peppercorn sauce/garlic herb butter. We left the restaurant more than satisfied and extremely impressed with the... More

Had dinner here on Sunday with my family. Overpriced and overrated. Having read all the glowing reports we were disappointed.

Our last meal on our Scottish holiday and it could not have been better. The service was friendly and very efficient; our burgers, chicken and vegetarian option were plentiful, tasty and well cooked. It is difficult to see how our experience could be improved. If we didn't live 450 miles away we would be regulars.

I've eaten at the Butchershop a few times before and thoroughly enjoy the consistent quality they provide. It was about time I wrote a review too! The fillet steak is a must for me at any steakhouse, I've been left disappointed by other cuts in other restaurants that its a fairly good barometer for me. The Butchershop is a wonderfully... More

Visited the Butchershop as a birthday treat for my partner. We received a warm welcome from the staff, and were seated at the bar to have drinks whilst we waited for our table (we were early). The staff looked after us well without being overbearing. To start, I had the best mushroom soup I've ever tasted! Now it might not... More

I love steak, it has to be said. This is a place to go if you love steak! We have been twice. Once for the Tuesday night steak deal; you get two rump steaks and a bottle of house wine for £30. This is a nice affordable mid week treat! The steaks were great for rump steaks, simple accompaniments and... More

We have been here on 3 very different occasions. Once for the Sunday lunch menu.... Phenomenal roast beef for two with all the trimmings, then again for dinner when we shared the Chateubriand and oysters (I also had the steak tartare starter which was to die for.... Then again for lunch. There is SO much to choose from and it... More

Was really excited about going here for dinner as I had heard so many good things about it....... Alas, the food was kinda average and overpriced for what it was, decor isn't the best and there were far too many tables crammed into the restaurant. Will not be back.
