Have been here a few times and might even have written a review. Back again today for lunch. I cannot praise this place enough. It is somewhat difficult to find but well worth the search. The staff are just lovely! How soppy! The food is always very good and imaginative and the prices are very reasonable. took seasoned traveller friends... More

Wed 10 Dec 2014 - lunch - party of 3 My elderly Glaswegian uncle recommended this place, when we were visiting him from "The South", saying he didn't like upstairs cos is was full of businessmen, instead preferring the basement eatery, so I was dreading/imagining it to be a "working men's club" or similar... especially with it being downstairs... Let's get down to it ! In December the restauranteurs of Glasgow like to fill their boots and squeeze your wallet hard. At Shandon Belles nothing could be further from reality. With the same kitchen as the Buttery upstairs and a 'similar' menu , this has to be the best value Festive Menu in town. £16 for 2 courses or... More

Eight "girls" go out every year for our wee Christmas lunch - this has to have been one of the best. Fantastic value at £19 with great choices for all three courses - and not just your bog standard Christmas menu. House wine exceptionally good value at £12 a bottle (and was very drinkable!) Great atmosphere loved the quirky china... More

Came here prior to seeing Jools Holland concert. Arrived early but not a problem for us to have a drink upstairs before restaurant actually opened! Staff upstairs and downstairs very friendly and helpful. We were able to transfer our drinks account to our table downstairs. Food top quality with ample portions! One downside was position of our table. Just at... More

Found this place on trip advisor and decided to give it a try as it was reasonably close to our hotel. It's in a residential area so not somewhere you would simply walk by and look to try. A good choice of starters, main course and desserts at a two or three course fixed price. This place offers the most... More
