This was my third visit this year to Shandon Belles and I think the best. The restaurant is well appointed and crockery and cutlery sparkles. The staff as always were friendly and professional. But it's the food that stars. I was with a party of four and we each had a different main. All were more than satisfied. My water... More

although my meal was fine, as opposed to good, my sister and daughter actively disliked their food. My daughter started with soup, which was bland, although the texture was fine. My daughter then had Cajun Salmon which she felt was over flavoured, in an overpowering way, the three who tried it all agreed. My sister had vegetable chilli, which was... More

Food was excellent & just beautiful. 2 courses for under £20. 18th century building I believe. Service was great when I was there. Highly recommend.

A family group of 8 went for lunch to celebrate our son's graduation from Strathclyde University. Having had an excellent meal at the Buttery above on a previous occasion, we thought we would try the more informal restaurant below for lunch. It did not disappoint. A wide variety of meals were tried from the menu and all were very impressive.... More

This was my second visit to the restaurant and I have been impressed both times. The food is great and extremely reasonable. The service is really good and the house wine is nice. The restaurant is in a bit of an odd location but I just jump in a taxi. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good... More

We went here on a recommendation from a friend for a birthday lunch for my Mum. It's not easy to find if you don't know the area but it is well worth finding. It's down pretty steep stairs in a basement location filled with fab vintage china, ornaments, mirrors, recycled bits etc Our waitress was so welcoming and explained the... More

Recently visited for first time, party of 4. We were greeted well, coats taken away and service was excellent. Menu was interesting but I have to say I was expecting it to be fab but it was just ok. I and my friends were all disappointed as we had heard such good things about the place but it was very... More

After a bit of a struggle to find this place, which is in a bit of an odd location, and disregarding the somewhat strange exterior...have to say i was massively impressed with every aspect of the meal. Quality was second to none, staff were attentive but not over-imposing and value for money was excellent. The interior is a ...well...difficult to... More

I have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. Recently went with a friend and once again the food and service outstanding at such a reasonable price. Even a bottle of wine only cost £12 which is great compared to some places. I love the cosy, quaint, relaxed feel of the place. Staff never... More

This Glasgowian bistro lies a bit out of the centre, underneath the Two Fat Ladies gastronomic restaurant, but it is is comfy, hospitable and it serves great food with a small but very agreeable wine list. Loved the Belgian Waffle dessert (and I am a Belgian...). Excellent coffee too.
