My husband and I ate at this little basement restaurant 2 evenings ago. What a lovely dining experience! The decor was charming, the atmosphere relaxed and the service was very attentive without being intrusive. The beef kofta and spiced vegetable risotto that I had were both delicious. My husband had the bruschetta and the steak pie. My husband commented that... More

It's been a long time since I have been to this restaurant but I must say I had an amazing meal there today. The service & staff were first class & the food was simply wonderful. I had the soup of the day & the risotto was the best I have ever tasted. Honestly. The house wine is just brilliant.... More

Went here on friday 4th April before heading to the hydro. Pre theatre dinner 2 courses £15 and 3 course £17. Great value for money. Good selection to chose from, l had the soup and it was lovely and well flavoured. Then had the salmon. Only issue l had was the skin was not crispy but that's just personal preference.... More

I've been a few times and love this wee restaurant, this time was no different. The staff are great, the service is first class and the food delicious. I especially love the fish and chips. It's got a great vibe and I would highly recommend a visit.

Went for a late lunch here as a party of six. I'd been a few times before and thought it was a reasonably priced restaurant that offered decent food and service. The food this time was disappointing and not worth it. Broccoli Soup was tasteless. I had chicken which was stuffed with feta, it was dry and the stuffing just... More

I have eaten in both the Shandon & The Buttery in the past. My husband's birthday today so I treated him to lunch at the Shandon. I like the restaurant, the quirkiness with all the interesting Knick-Knacks. Service was good despite the fact there was just one waiter in attendance. My husband enjoyed his choice for lunch, I was not... More

Had a couple of days in Glasgow recently and looking for some where decent to eat stumbled across Shandon Belles. Situated beneath another local food landmark (2 Fat ladies at the Buttery), the location is steeped in local food history. I was quite tired so just opted for the main course which I picked from the specials board, rather than... More

Like all of the Two Fat Ladies restaurants, the Shandon Belles can be relied on for excellent, fresh, homemade food in a relaxed environment. Service is always friendly and prices are very good. Would highly recommend.
