Third time in just under a year - one of the best places I have ever eaten

Shandon Belles bistro welcome was as warm and cosy as the atmosphere and food on a cold January Saturday lunchtime. Visited with two young teenagers who enjoyed their selections as equally as we did. The coffee and tablet rounded off a delicious and surprise experience. The location is awkward to find for a first timer to this part of Glasgow... More

First thing to note, the building houses two restaurants with the Shandon being the one downstairs - entrance off the car park. After sorting out where we were eating could not fault the establishment. We were met with a smile and taken to our table. Offered tap water before trying to sell fizzy water which is always a good start... More

Lovely atmosphere and the waitress was really helpful. I'd recommend the fish dishes and go for the meaty dishes if that's your thaing. It's good for parking too!

Took my wife to Shandon Belles tonight for a celebratory silver wedding anniversary meal.it's a bit off the beaten track but I will certainly remember how to get there in the future. The food is fantastic and it is so refreshing to go into a restaurant and be given complimentary water as well as lovely fresh bread. The restaurant is also... More

Visited with friends, lovely atmosphere and great menu. They do 2 courses and a half bottle of wine for around £25 (i think) which is a great deal! The waitress highlighted the options I could have as I am gluten intolerant, and most of the items on the menu were suitable for me which was a great surprise. Service and... More

first thing value for money is amazing - where else would you get 3 courses and half bottle of wine for £25? A few wee things let it down such as our reservation not being in the book. This happened to another party that night so maybe need to check process for taking bookings? The staff managed to get tables... More

Visited here Sat night, party of 6, chilled fizz waiting on table (I had phoned ahead to order). This is a great informal quirky little restaurant in the basement of 2 Fat ladies at The Buttery. The menu had plenty of choice, lots of things to suit everyone in our party. The food was excellent and very reasonable - they... More

We were part of a large party saying goodbye to our friend and colleague. The restaurant staff offered us a brilliant service. The food on the set menu was all well received and the wine included in the set menu was lovely! The decor and atmosphere was nice, very warm and welcoming. I am delighted to have found this as...
