We always go here for coffee when we are in Glasgow. The cakes are excellent and although I have never eaten breakfast or lunch here myself, everyone seems very happy with what they get and the food looks great. The prices are also among the best in the area - that's why there are never many empty seats! Service is... More

In this cosy cafe on QM drive, all the food is delicious and prepared to perfection. Whether you fancy a classic Scottish breakfast or an adventurous Italian lunch - this must be the place. The waitress is always friendly and attentive. The ambiance is always relaxed with interesting conversation abound, and it's a great place to chill and chow down... More

I have frequented this small but superb cafe many a time this year, and every time could not fault it. We have always been lucky enough to find a seat but some days people have to just walk out as it is too busy. I normally go for the vegetarian breakfast, which with the normal veggie components of a breakfast,... More

I have been to North Star on many occasions and it still maintains its excellent standards for service and good food. The menu is very good, the staff are very friendly and the finished article is very tasty! One of Glasgow's top cafes.

Went out for breakfast and got lucky here as the place we intended to go to was closed. Full breakfast good but French toast with maple syrup brilliant. Only complaint too much of it. Really busy and turning people away so lucky to get a table.

Freshly baked carrot cake was like a dream, same for scones.the cappuccino was of high quality and the gingerbread syrup took it to another level. The best place to be for a cup of coffee and breakfast in glasgow. Even though the place is small, it suits it cause it makes it feel warm and homey.the staff was excellent and... More

Came across this place entirely by accident, after a stressed out morning trying [unsuccessfully] to get parked within range of first Kelvingrove Museum and then the Botanics - this in lead up to Commonwealth games so we were naively ambitious and in real danger of utterly disappointing two patient wee grand daughters of 5 and 3. The welcome and service... More
