I will start this review by saying we booked this restaurant knowing that it was quite an expensive place to eat. Sometimes when you know a place is expensive your high expectations can sometimes let you down. Two Fat Ladies did the complete opposite. This met all our expectations and more. I visited Two Fat Ladies on the 11th January.... More

We have been meaning to visit this incarnation of Two Fat Ladies for some time. We had avoided The Buttery because we thought it awkward to get to on foot from the City Centre. As it turned out, we were able to walk west along Argyle Street, crossing under the M8 without difficulty. Going home we took the pedestrian overpass,... More

6 of us celebrated a very special family event at The Buttery on Saturday January 24th. There were so many things that made the evening memorable : being seated in 'The Snug' undoubtedly helped us to enjoy a degree of privacy that a table in the main part of the restaurant would not have afforded, but that was only part... My self and family went to this restaurant for my mums birthday and what a great choice. Doesn't look like much from outside although the grate is beautiful the food is amazing. Started with Cullen skink which was delightful and had the steak for main which was a personal highlight and in the top 10 steaks I have eaten. All... More

This restaurant is excellent in every way! The food is delicious, the staff are very welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed and not too informal! We will definately eat here again!

Dined here on Friday 16th January with a colleague. The scallops starter was very poor for the price charged. What it consisted of was 3 half scallops bolstered up by a tower of mashed potato and some twee bits of salad. Main course was o.k. and ordered cheese and biscuits afterwards which was not very fresh. This was my third... More

Given we were here in January, the restaurant was full. New menu on tonight, which was good to see. Still, thankfully, very fish based. Quality, service and pricing were fantastic

Excellent service from the start. Welcomed in. Had a drink in lounge area. Restaurant was nice and warm. Just had the little extra touches to make it special. Fresh orange to put in gin was presented in a lovely wee crystal jug, homemade variety of breads and invited to try all three and then offered more. We had the Pre-theatre... More

Starting today I am eating out every single night for about a month. I'll review every place I visit in Glasgow. I eat with my fork in my right hand and the knife in my left. I'm not a food fanatic or anything. I just like good food. Walked to this restaurant from the city centre and it took me... More
