We had a fantastic meal, wonderful experience on Saturday 16/5. Four of us enjoyed perfect service, food, attention during our visit. We( two couples) cannot fault the experience we all had. Excellent value for the three hours we spent. From start to finish this was what good looked like. A credit to everyone at The Buttery. Thank you.

We just arrived on spec. Had to wait a little but staff were polite. We just had the main course. My lamb was good but expensive.

This was by far the best meal that I had in a long time. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. The welcome and greeting was delightful. The service provided was second to none. It wasn't the cheapest meal ever but we certainly got great treatment for our money. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place for... More

I visited this restaurant last night (a Sunday) with a group of 7 friends. We had purchased an on line group deal for 8. This consisted of a 3 course meal with a glass of Prosecco on arrival, 2 bottles of red wine and 2 bottles of white wine, tea and coffee with petits four. The private dining area ,... More

We ate here on our last night in Glasgow after two weeks in Scotland beginning in Edinburgh, a week in The Highlands and finally Glasgow. We were anxious for some god food- not traditional Scottish fare but a more upbeat cuisine. Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery delivered. We made a reservation for a Monday night- it was needed. We... My second visit to the two fat ladies was on a weekend. The windowless interiors somehow work very well to overcome any feelings of claustrophobia. I'd say it's rather cosy and when there aren't too many patrons, the setting can be ideal for a romantic get-together. For a restaurant of this class, you'd have high expectations and the fat ladies... More

Well, that was a culinary masterpiece. I may not have the most discerning palette, but, I had a wonderful meal, in a delightful setting, and served by unobtrusive, but attentive, cheerful and knowledgeable staff. I will be back, but only thanks to the expense account.

Six of us went for Sunday lunch on our last day in Glasgow. Rather an unprepossessing exterior in a very unlikely location, but really lovely Baronial feeling interior. Everything was excellent. good house wine and cocktails to start. Excellent choice of food for three courses Inexpensive. Friendly efficient service. No criticisms at all.

Visited at lunchtime on a Tuesday (birthday), so quiet. Had a very nice champagne cocktail. There wasn't too much in the way of veggie choices, but I wasn't really expecting much. Nice pear salad, although the pear was a little chilly. I had risotto which was good as risotto goes. Chocolate brownie very nice, and the chef had gone to... More
