Good hotel

Good hotel, comfortable spacious room. Good decorative order. My only problem was trying to get served at the bar one of the nights. Not enough staff to meet demand and we eventually left and got served round the corner at the SECC where I had 3 members of bar staff attending to me at once. That's... read more

From friendly informative staff at check in to possibly the best hotel breakfast we've ever had this IHG ticked every box. As a IHG member we were visitors to the executive lounge for a free glass of wine and some delicious canapés. The room was extremely clean and well appointed( a real hairdryer makes a huge difference she said )... More

My husband and I were attending a Neil Diamond concert at the Hydro so this hotel is ideal as it is next door to it and the SECC, very comfortable and the view was wonderful on the 11th floor, a touch pricey at £229 for a double room though.

On first looks it was very busy and I looked very nice and modern. Our table was in the back in a dark room with no atmosphere. We were given two options the buffet menu for £19.95 which includes picking your starter and dessert. Or the normal menu. We opted for the buffet as we were going to the hydro... More

The hotel itself I enjoyed but we had booked in for dinner and it was an expensive disappointed. Both opted for steak. Was very bland and over cooked. Definitely recommend the hotel just go out for dinner.

We book this hotel simply because it is close to the SSE Hydro for staying over night. The Crown Plaza knows this well and hence the expensive room price. The room was a standard King size room at a cost of £195 for less than a 24hr say. We have stayed at 5 star hotels for less and also stayed... More

Mariner seems to be the current name for the restaurant open to and next the bar on the ground floor at the foyer of the Crown Plaza hotel in Glasgow. Amazon Local offered a Sunday lunch for two comprising starter and main course with a 175 ml glass of wine each - total cost £19.00. Limited choice but the food,... More

Corporate meeting and lunch included - oh dear! Food dreadful, Glasgow was very busy so we were forced to stay here and had to pay everything up front. Unsympathetic management response to concern suggesting they will review training. Think lunch needs more imagination and taste - sorry. I have been here many times but this was a new low
