Expensive venison main course with deep fried potatoes and black pudding with unnecessary strawberry garnish. Squashed in at the bar next to another couple. Overall shocking over rated garbage!

a very nice restaurant close to Glasgow central. no Wi-fi though but it is bearable ) the food is typically Italian and I really felt like in Italy. The prices are OK for UK standards, you will find that the surrounding restaurants are much more expensive.

I agree with all the positive reviews about the food. My brother in law is Italian and him and his family love to feed us so i know pretend Italian food. The chef really knows his craft and the meals were excellent. Now the but........ if you dine out a lot you look for a wee bit more than great... More

I went with my boyfriend. Thursday evening. We were greeted and seated straight away. The tables are quite close to each other therefore the atmosphere is a bit crowded. As for our food. We ordered duck and apple ravioli and rissotto as a starter. These were lovely but still 8 quid for a starter...for mains we had a duck breast... More

This small and quaint restaurant is the pinnacle of good Italian food. I can understand clearly why they have been awarded with this accolade. I have had what can only be described as a truly memorable culinary experience. As close to traditional Italian food as you would ever get anywhere in Italy. I chose: Smoked salmon with king prawns and... More

We were staying at the Grand Central Hotel, and this restaurant was recommended to us by the reception staff. Didn't look promising, as we went down to the cellar, and we weren't wrong. We arrived behind three young women, and three members of staff walked past them, before they were told they could have a table just inside the door,... More

Lovely special meal on a Saturday night with special friends. On the internet the price was £23.95 each for two courses but was charged £24.95. Several other price discrepancies were noted. Was charged for bottle of sparkling water which we did not have. Coffees were nice but much dearer than that advertised on their website. I chose not to argue... More

Near Glasgow Central station we were looking for somewhere to eat on a Friday night. I didn't want to walk far from our hotel (Alexander Thompson) so we stopped at La Lanterna. It didn't look very promising, down stairs into the cellar. How wrong we were. The service was absolutely excellent. We were delighted to see table cloths; in general... More

Another enjoyable lunch, and the first for a few weeks. Booked online the previous night, and greeted with a glass of prosecco on arrival. The lunch menu has changed slightly in recent months appears shorter but still good value at £15.95 for 3 courses, only disappointment was the sea bass main course only one very small fillet, well cooked but...
