Visited recently as a table of six and everyone was very happy with their meal. The food, as usual was of a very high standard. Every course was outstanding. The only issue seemed to be our Italian waiter forgot some of our drinks orders. Easily forgiven for such good food. Well done La Lanterna.

I took my girlfriend to La Lanterna for the 2nd time - being very impressed the first time. The location is ideal as it is right next to Central Station. We wished to order items not on the Saturday menu and the chef was nice enough to oblige, and the specific table I reserved was kept which was also a... More

Being dedicated Italian cuisine lovers, we decided to have two (out of four) dinners in this award winning Italian restaurant. It is situated in a basement and with no windows it needs a very relaxing decoration to balance and, fortunately, it has very nice and warm interior. However, when it is full of people (which is often) it can get... More

La Lanterna is only what I can describe as a little piece of Italy in Glasgow. The service was outstanding and the food was utterly delicious. I would recommend this to any young couple, family or friends looking for a great traditional Italian meal in Glasgow. By far the best Italian I have been to in Glasgow.

My family and I went into Glasgow last Saturday, as we thought we might as well soak up the atmosphere of the Commonwealth Games before it finished on the Sunday. The only thing we seemed to soak up......was the rain! After a walk in Glasgow Green, we made our way into the City Centre to try and find somewhere to... More

Went for dinner on Saturday 2 August with family, food was good, service fine but feel the restaurant is very cramped. I was sitting at a table in a dark corner with my back to the middle of the restaurant, so missed out on the goings on and atmosphere of the restaurant. As advised by another reviewer we were also... Visited this restaurant during the Commonwealth Games based on the convenient location close to Central Station. Sadly the experience was very disappointing. On arrival we were ignored for several minutes before being shown to our table. There then followed further delays before the menu arrived and our order taken. It was not as though the restaurant was very busy. One... More

Wonderful service, cuisine and a magical experience The waiters were attentive without being pushy. The garlic langoustines were heavenly. The Manager found us a table for 3 at 10 p.m. on a Saturday night. The restaurant was full, no music!
