Food was great; service was great. Didn't make it to the main dining room - I guess the maitre'd did not like the way we were dressed. Except for this snub, we were not disappointed.

Visited on Sat 16 May with my wife ( her birthday ) our son and his fiancee. We all tried something diffrent and the food - all courses - was magnificent . Cannot fault the quality of the food and the service was first class . Intend to return as a really nice restaraunt - atmosphere was lovely.

Do not know Glasgow at all well and only staying overnight as we have been on a trip near Tarbert. We wandered around and saw this not knowing what to expect. Lots of stairs down to a fairly full restaurant but luckily enough room for us. Had wonderful grilled langoustine with garlic butter and Mum had fresh gnocchi (very light)... More

Been to this Italian a number of times and believe it is one of the best in Glasgow. Not a great location on busy Hope steet and down to the basement for the restaurant. Don't let that put you of though the decor and food is fabulous. Good value set price lunch - mushroom crostinis so tasty and Veal Milanese... More

Took a mix of customers and staff for an evening meal here in mid December. Had never been and booked on gut feeling. Arrived shown our table straight away. Staff are just amazing and a great varied menu with wine list to match. Highly recommend this establishment for a romantic meal as well as a group booking.

We ate here a few days ago. We had the pre-theatre before heading to the theatre. For once, we used the pre-theatre for pre-theatre. There were three of us. The food was very good. The service was attentive and swift. We would go there again apart from the constant upselling meant we were continually on our guard again being conned.... More

Apparently this restaurant has been voted the best Italian restaurant in Glasgow for the last two years. It's easy to see why! The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant is very pleasant. The food was excellent - I had a bruschetta to start, rib-eye steak for the main and gelato for dessert. Each course was delicious, fresh, well portioned and... More

We recently visited La Lanterna on our stay in Glasgow. The meals we ordered were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good Italian food. We will certainly visit again on our next outing to Glasgow.

We were the first customers in the restaurant so it was rather quiet! We booked the pre-theatre menu in advance, which included a glass of Prosecco and 2 courses and a coffee for £14 or including dessert for £18. The food was nice, and the waiters were attentive, perhaps overly-so as the restaurant was not busy at the time!
