Top notch visit to my favourite restaurant earlier this month. Veg pakora remains the standout starter for me. Tikka masala is still the best around. As always, Ali and the boys gave us first class service. Looking forward to my visit again this Sunday!!

Visited Charcoals yesterday for lunch and had a lovely meal. Have been several times before and always find that the food and service is second to none. Ali the manager makes you feel very special and obviously genuinely enjoys his job which makes such a difference to the customer. The 2 course lunch menu for £6.95 is great value and... More

I dined here in March 2014; dinner for one, starter (prawn poori), main course (chicken bhuna) and a side (onion bhaji). Quite simply, I have never known portion sizes like it. Generous would be an understatement but apparently this is par for the course for Glasgow. The host also served complimentary poppadoms and naan bread, all of which was unsolicited.... More

Have eaten at Charcoals a few times, the hospitality there is second to none. We go in a fairly large group and we are always made so welcome. Ali goes the extra mile to ensure we have a great night. The extensive menu has something to suit all palates, food is served quickly and it is always fresh and delicious.... More

Great little restaurant in the heart of Glasgow, really tasty authentic cuisine at reasonable prices too. would recommend the Chicken Hara Bhara Kebab starter & Lamb Jaipuri main absolutely delicious. Can't fault the service either all staff were fantastic offering advice if unsure what to order, even though they were busy Ali was very attentive and friendly. The Broons, Edinburgh/Dundee

We are visiting Glasgow for a couple of days and found Charcoals on tripadviser. We checked out the Best Curry Awards and they are indeed the best curry house in Glasgow . The menu was different (with a few old favs!) and smaller than the usual 10 pages you can get in a curry house. We had 2 amazing starters... More

We often eat here when in town as the food tastes fresh and is beautifully cooked. The restaurant is small and unassuming but the staff are friendly and the food is amazing. One of the best Indian restaurants in Glasgow, sure to delight your taste buds.

A group of six friends and family visited this restaurant on a Saturday night recently. We all agreed that the food and service was excellent. We were made welcome by the manager who continued to provide us with complimentary taster dishes.I had the best tandoori experience of any restaurant.I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Went on Saturday evening for the pre theatre deal of 2 courses for £9.99. Portion size large and sevice very good again. Best to book as it is very busy and not the largest restuarant in Glasgow. Run by Ali and his staff like a well oiled machine but they let you relax and enjoy the food and service.
