Charcoals has to be the best Indian restaurant I have visited in Glasgow. Firstly the service is OUTSTANDING !!! When making my on-line booking I mentioned it was our anniversary therefore requested a nice table. Well....the staff (particularly Ali), went above the call of duty !! We arrived to find a fantastic table by the window (which could have fit... More

Our host Ali was his usual impeccable self, thoughtful, charming and generous as ever. The food was amazing as ever, fresh and beautifully cooked. Lahori fish pakora followed by south Indian chilli chicken was superb as ever...great company, great food and amazing service....Charcoals is difficult to beat...one of Glasgow's best.

The food was pretty good, a fine curry with a tarka dal that i really enjoyed. Couldn't quite get over the tatty plastic menus and the fact that the dinner arrived only about 5 minutes after being ordered. If food arrives that soon then I am a bit nervous that its a re-heat rather than freshly prepared. All in ok,... More

We were welcomed by Ali as if we were his most important guests of the evening, We sampled several dishes, prepared with "medium spice". Each was well prepared and tasty. Go for the food not the ambiance.

Always enjoy eating here. Main positives of charcoals is on the food and service however the only negative is the look of restaurant, it is just ok. That aside you won't eat a better nan bread and the "charcoals tikka" is out of this world. I eat here every time I visit from birmingham. You don't get nan breads like... More

First impressions are that it looks a bit old school. The service is excellent from the minute you walk in the door . The starters arrived quickly excellent quality and the main courses were equally delicious. Around £20 a head for starters main course and accompaniments.
