Let's start with Ali - he is phenomenal - I've described the type of curry I enjoy and he's surprised me twice so far! One dry and one in a cream sauce (something I'd never choose) - both wonderful. Fresh spices and interesting extra dishes that he thinks we will enjoy. The curry club has travelled far and wide across... More

Coming up to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games, we decided to give Charcoals a try. With large, crispy poppadoms and a selection of chutneys as an appetiser, Ali, brought over a couple of complimentary, tandoor, finished poppadoms with a chana chutney. This was great, a stunning idea which is a must to try. The main courses were all very different,... More

This was my second visit to Charcoals in just over a year. As good a curry as I've had anywhere and I've had them all over the world. Ali remembers his customers, and has a great rapport with customers and his staff. The service, food, location, and overall ambience are absolutely first class. Oh and the Tennants lager is also great. Laid back and... More

One of the best Indian meals we've ever had. On a rainy Saturday night in Glasgow the place was buzzing. The staff were excellent, very attentive and helpful especially Ali. The food was just superb, tasty and plentiful. Give this place a go you won't be disappointed. We will return!:-)

Visited this place a couple of years ago when I was finding tea when in Glasgow on business. Used Tripadvisor to find this place and was extremely tasty. Welcoming reception from the staff and excellent value for money. There's a reason the reviews are high, has lots of custom and is winning awards. Don't miss out! Don't suppose you fancy... More

I went to this restaurant on Monday 14 July 2014. I had a number of different starters to share - all good. The main course was seriously superb though - butter chicken. I had asked for it to be spicy. Everything about it was top notch. My dining buddy also tried it and agreed - supreme. Make sure you head... More
