We were welcomed by Ali as if we were his most important guests of the evening, We sampled several dishes, prepared with "medium spice". Each was well prepared and tasty. Go for the food not the ambiance.

Always enjoy eating here. Main positives of charcoals is on the food and service however the only negative is the look of restaurant, it is just ok. That aside you won't eat a better nan bread and the "charcoals tikka" is out of this world. I eat here every time I visit from birmingham. You don't get nan breads like... More

First impressions are that it looks a bit old school. The service is excellent from the minute you walk in the door . The starters arrived quickly excellent quality and the main courses were equally delicious. Around £20 a head for starters main course and accompaniments.

Excellent food and service. Jaipuri chicken was excellent. The waiting staff were very attentive and helpful. Will definitely return on my next trip to Glasgow.

Great food at a very reasonable price and the service was great, can definitely understand why they've won so many awards and would highly recommend it to anyone!

This is my first visit here and love hidden gems such as Charcoals. Quite a small restaurant, nothing fancy but the aroma in the air was making me hungry. We had the 2-course set lunch and what a treat! I had the chickpea starter followed by the garlic, chilli chicken. My friend had chicken pakora then the butter chicken. We... More

I was taken to this restuarant by my brother who had been several times before. We were greeted by Ali who is so friendly and genuine in the service he gives to his customers. The food portions were huge and the tastes were out of this world , great value for money. This is a wonderful place which I will... More

This is a regular haunt of mine and as an avid curry fan I am always blown away by the food here - the lamb is always beautifully tender and the curries are always fragrant and tasty - one of the best curries in Glasgow. However, what really sets Charcoals apart from other top Indian restaurants is the service, which... More

We always try an Indian restaurant when we travel to a new city. Charcoals ranks among the best we have visited. The food and service at Charcoals is fantastic. The menu is as big as the portions. Split an appetizer and pace yourself. The tandoori sampler was the highlight of our meal. Order this! The restaurant is not large, so... More
