Turned up on a snowy Wednesday night and it was almost full, that says a lot about this authentic Indian restaurant . The staff are welcoming and friendly, food is wonderful with a wide variety on the menu, we had a few extras given to us during the meal which was a very nice touch. Price worked out at just... Went here on a visit back to Glasgow from Australia and wanted to get a proper Glasgow curry. Chose Charcoals due to the good reviews on here and its central location in Renfield Street within the city centre. Went with my wife and 2 sons and we all left absolutely delighted with the food and the only thing which outshone... More

Welcome excellent. Starters first class. Service good. Mains A1 too although one of our party felt theirs had been sitting out for a bit and was not as hot as it should have been. Wine well priced. Would have preferred fresh puds, not selection from plastic card. All in all we like this restaurant very much.

I've been about 10 times for lunch and it never disappoints. I'll be back again shortly. The lamb desi karahi was excellent. A new favourite.

Wow! Back again at this great wee restaurant and I'm amazed again at the variety of flavours and excellent cooking. The food really is special here and Ali's team really look after you even when he's not there.

Service was as expected in an Indian restaurant with polite and friendly staff. We were presented with a free sample of one of their starters and a jelly vodka which was a nice touch. What spoiled the dinner was the 10% Service Charge on the bill which seemed as if they were demanding a tip and made the bill appear... More
