Whilst not the largest restaurant in Glasgow No 16 makes up for it with friendly efficient service supported by excellent food at extremely good value. This place is a real gem and people were being turned away on a Tuesday night so booking is essential.

In a recent visit to Glasgow four of us enjoyed dinner at this charming restaurant. The food, service and ambience all were great and reminded us of restauants we enjoy in San Francisco's North Beach area. We sat upstairs and had the benefit of a cool breeze and street view through the open windows.

This place is a little gem in every sense. From the food with its fusion of flavours and attention to detail through to the first class friendly but professional staff. Would definitely return and would most definitely recommend anyone to pay a visit. I'd recommend booking as it does get booked up fast.

This is a delightful restaurant:it is small but is artistically and imaginatively decorated. The menu echoes this imagination with a fresh, contemporary combination of ingredients producing delicious results. The service was quick but relaxed with no pressure to hurry our meal. The lovely waitress-despite being busy-was even happy to answer our questions about the supplier of the pretty handmade pottery on the table.Overall,a most... I was taken here, as a treat for my birthday and all I can say is WOW! Initially I was a bit unsure, as I had never heard of the place, however my partner was adamant that this was THE place to go - he was correct. It’s a beautiful, cosy little restaurant, which is beautifully decorated inside - ocean... More

I think Glasgow must be a highly competitive place to own a restaurant and I have been recently bemused by average restaurants zooming up to the top 20 or so and quality but more expensive places left well behind. With this background my wife and I were invited to join friends at this restaurant which occupies No 1 slot. It's... More

Delicious food, lovely staff and cosy atmosphere. Banana and peanut crumble was the best dessert I have ever had! Will be back!

Nice little restaurant. Couldn't fault the service but errors were evident in the execution of the cooking. The pomme Anna which accompanied the hanger steak had an over-abundance of rosemary which killed the dish. The other main of scallops was excellently cooked with subtle flavours of salsify and artichoke. The chocolate tart was poorly executed. The pastry was too thick... More

A close friend had been raving and raving about #16 for months so, having met for a drink on Ashton Lane, he booked us a table and we sauntered down to have lunch. I can safely say it is, without any competition, the best meal out I have had in Glasgow, both when I lived there for 5 years and... More
