4 dined here in May on a Thursday evening. Restaurant is small but atmospheric and was busy all evening. A bistro rather than a full blown restaurant experience, but that is not a criticism. The staff were young, but unfailingly polite, smiling, and overall, excellent. The food was excellent as well, with home made pasta, and pâté for starters, bream,... More

This restaurant is a hidden gem, small and cosy and the food is not what you expect for the surroundings. The food here is fresh, god quality and great value for money. I have been twice and never been disappointed. I have booked a table for next Sunday for the fabulous BYOB Sunday. Cant wait to go back - worth... More

I have eaten here twice and couldn't fault it on either occasion. I had the pork belly with Stornoway black pudding croquettes the first time and it was exceptional. I had to have it again and it was every bit as good. The bread rolls that we were offered were home made and served with a delicious rosemary infused oil.... More

My wife and had heard excellent reports and we were not disappointed ! We were on the 5pm.co.uk Dinearound deal for May which was from Number 16's Pre-Theatre menu. For a pre-theatre menu the number and quality of choices available for each of the 3 courses was excellent. First impressions matter a lot ot us and when we arrived we... More

Number 16 deserves its high rating for Glasgow restaurants here on trip advisor. I had the pleasure of experiencing a wonderful evening recently at number 16, we arrived on time for our booked table, and was welcomed in a truly pleasant warm manner from a waitress, who informed us that they were just preparing our table, and that she would... We had a meal on Saturday 4th May although restaurant was full, both food and service was excellent. Everything cooked to perfection and interesting choice of food something for all taste. Good wine list well priced. Staff very good and welcoming, but not too pushy. We will definatly be back.

My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely lunch at number 16 last week. It was lovely. The friendliest staff I think I have ever met at a restaurant. The food was delicious and such great value for money. We will definitely return.

We ate here on Saturday evening after reading rave reviews on tripadvisor.co.uk and luckily securing a last minute booking for 9pm. Not being from the area, I have to say that my initial impressions when walking in the door were a little disappointing...how could this small, slightly over crowded looking place where we could hardly squeeze past people in the... We went here for a quiet meal to celebrate an anniversary and it was a good choice. It's a small restaurant but doesn't feel crowded even with most of the tables occuppied. We had a table on the mezzanine level. Staff were friendly and welcoming and service was spot on. For my main course I had Pork belly with black... More
