We visited on a Saturday night and the restaurant which is quite small was full - always a good sign! It does have a lovely cosy and relaxed atmosphere and the staff make you feel very comfortable. Our waitress was attentive but not ott and happy to answer questions on the menu. I would say that the service was faultless.... More

We had a nice meal but it was distinctly average. The service was slightly scatty as waitress forgot our olives and then could not tell us what was particular dishes were, stating "I didn't make them". I had the ham hough in panko crumbs and it was a bit heavy as was the gnocchi. The peanut and banana crumble was... More

This little hidden pearl was the best experience on my stay in Glasgow! The food was truly amazing with its playfullness of different tastes and textures and the service was excellent! Also the interior and the setting was very cosy and intimate and I think you get great value for your money. I would more than recommend a visite to... More

Went for lunch which has a bargain menu. Every dish was exemplary....great attention to quality and freshness. The fig salad was delicious , with superb couscous and rhubarb. Great summer dish. The mackerel fillets were plump and perfectly cooked, with well thought out accompiaments of grapefruit , broad beans , baby artichokes and asparagus. The mains of whiting on a... More

We came down to Glasgow for the Common Wealth Games. Following the reviews from Trip Advisor and being a bit of a Foodie, I booked a table for lunch. I dined with my husband and 13 year old daughter, who can be a "funny" about food. My daughter had the fried ham hock starter. All I heard from her was... More

Visited this establishment recently. Not sure why its number 1 on TA, that went over my head, perhaps I'm missing something. We arrived without a reservation however that wasn't a problem. The server, who was very nice, seated us promptly and took our order. The meal took sometime to arrive, I was becoming a wee bit impatient. When it came... More

It's a while since I ate at this Byres Road restaurant, simply because it's difficult to get a last minute booking. However everyone must have been glued to the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony when we walked by because we managed to get a table! Young lady who served us was delightful and, although we were only hungry enough for a... More

Out of this world food & service without the snobby pretentious atmosphere that most first class dining establishments have! from the little homemade bread rolls to the clean well presented food we had it has most definitely been one of the best places i have eaten in Glasgow. We will be back with bells on!

When I went to this restaurant, and also at the moment I am writing, this was the number one restaurant in glasgow city according to trip advisor. I did not expect such a small place, but this was not a problem: we found a table and we sat immediately. Just after the order, we were served some bread and sauce... More

Earlier this month whilst visiting Scotland we made reservations to have dinner here with some friends. Our reservation was made based on recent excellent reviews on a number of sites - we had a fabulous dining experience! This place is small and despite that has a really good feel about it and atmosphere. We were welcomed when we arrived and... More
