Fourth visit to this restaurant. The food quality is excellent and is great value for money. The service is very good and you are never rushed.
This is my fourth time visiting the Wee Lochan and once again, it never failed to impress. Rather than blabber on, it's as simple as this " true home cooking at it's very best" delicious and the presentation of the food on the plate is served to you knowing that the chef take pride in every plate.
It was my first experience in The Wee Lochan and was happily surprised. It was a friends birthday, the menu was great for the set Sunday lunch and the cost even better.A constant turnover of people but still remaining a cosy friendly and very relaxing environment.I would recommend this to other and envy my friend who stays upstairs from it.Will be returning... We are frequent visitors to Wee Lochan, most recent visit being for lunch a couple of days ago. It is always great, food, wine and service, the staff are just lovely and very accommodating. Can honestly say we have never been disappointed. So lucky to have it as our local restaurant, would have to go far to find its equal.
We have been here either with our two sons our just my husband and I many times. It has always been good tasty food and great service. I had as always I the scallops and choritzo which is very tasty. My husband had fish soup which he really enjoyed. I had the pheasant with bacon and mash potatoes ,lovely. My... More
This is a great place. Lovely food and very reasonably priced. We've now been three times in the last couple of months and never been disappointed. A Parsnip Souffle to start - fantastic, and then three of us had Lemon Sole with a mushroom duxelles etc - all tastefully cooked and presented. This chef knows what he's doing (but then... More
We had a mini reunion with some old (though not as old as us) friends and one of them chose The Wee Lochan as our venue for the evening. The restaurant was obviously a converted shop but none the worse for that. Tables were crowded together but at angles that still allowed privacy. The service was quiet but attentive and... More
Hi Janusz Aisla here. First up sorry about the over-salting... Word has been put round the kitchen to all the chefs to go easy on the salt so probably that will benefit everyone. Should be corrected next time you visit ( let me know on the night or if I'm not here Norma or Aggie will be and we would... More
Had a wonderful time with friends. This small restaurant has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The menu was not large, but there was dishes varied enough for everyones taste. Wine list was also interesting and the prices were reasonable. A place I would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Nice area in Glasgow easy parking, the restaurant is a wee bit small we booked a table(mid week) but there was no need to,the w/end might be different. The service and the food was just ok but a bit overpriced, will we be back thinking about it.
Hi Billy Aisla here! I have to say your review made me giggle... " the restaurant is a wee bit small" - the clue is in our name.. loI - Wee LOCHAN is not a pleonasm without good reason..... But seriously - I'm a bit concerned about your title - what is it you paid for and didn't get? Or... More
I hadn't been to this restaurant for a while and had forgotten how good it is. Lots of thought and effort put into the food. Coming in at tea time on a dark, cold rainy night it was lovely and cosy, and i received a warm, friendly welcome (although I'm not a regular customer). Our meal (set pre-theatre at £16.95... More
