Why have we missed this gem on the edge of Glasgow's West End until now?

In a world of increasing numbers of characterless coffee/bar/restaurants this wee lochan is a lochan filled with quality food and Gaelic/Island character with art on the side ( or walls -almost all for sale) . We had an unbooked walk-in and were received with a great welcome and only a gentle... read more

Already in the second year my wife and I dined several times in this very well looked after and with greatest skill run cosy restaurant. We allways had a 3-course dinner and were at all times very satisfied with the friendly approach, the respectful service and the meals. The plates of all courses are beautifully decorated and the ideas of... More

This is the first time I've managed to get a seat at Wee Lochans (midweek evening too), it has very good reviews and as such I had very high expectations, I was not let down! Very friendly staff, all of them too. Lovely surroundings with a great menu to boot. I recommend the midweek pre-theatre menu, great value for 5... More

Extremely pleasant staff who thankfully don't stand about waiting for you to make a choice and then repeatedly keep returning to ask if everything is OK. The meal was fisrt class and the wines very reaonably priced. I had the lamb which was cooked to perfection. Everyone at our table really enjoyed their meal. Well done the Wee Lochan. Will... More

Food was delicious one of the best fish dishes I've had. I ordered the sea bass it was cooked to perfection the skin was crispy and flavoursome leaving the flesh soft and fluffy. Dessert was ok but not spectacular. Service was fantastic 10/10

We have just had a great night out at this wee establishment Food was great and the prices were excellent. Portion sizes were very good as was the value for money and definitely beats a lot of other glasgow eateries. I would definitely recommend a visit here. We had the beef and fish for mains and black pudding for starters.... More

This is an excellent place. The food is excellent and the staff are amazing as well. The food is all fresh and changes quite frequently which provides plenty of variation.

Excellent food and service and great value for money. Proper Cullen Skink and superbly cooked sea bass. One of the most enjoyable plates of food I've had for a long time. Will definitely return. A wee gem!

The food in the restaurant is outstanding! Quality is excellent across all courses! The portions are not big but counterbalanced by taste and presentation! But the service is extremely slow. Took far too long to take initial orders then too bid a gap between courses. A shame because it spoiled a nice experience hence the three stars only!

Hi Alistair Sorry about your experience at Wee LOCHAN. We try really hard to provide friendly, efficient service and we obviously didn't on this occasion. I'm glad you enjoyed the food but as we are a restaurant that is only half the job. I hope you accept our apologies and give us another shot. We will endeavour to show you... More
