On a warm day in Glasgow,we had our lunch alfresco at this restaurant. This pedestrian street is known as The Italian Centre, but there are only 3 Italian restaurants,so this is no LIttle Italy.I started with a delicious salad of Spinach and Feta cheese. My husband usually tries the Bolognese Sauce at new restaurants as a test to the chef.He thought their Spaghetti... Went for lunch for a birthday celebration. Nice meal, good value and staff helped make the occasion special. Have been here many times and love returning.

Starters were ok- bruschetta and mozzarella salad. Risotto main was bland (with soggy peas and asparagus) and had ingredients stated on the Menu missing. Desserts were poor, clearly not homemade, and included "squirty cream", glacé cherries and artificial raspberry sauce. This place is stuck in the 80's.

Had dinner for two on Sunday evening and had a very enjoyable evening. Went in at 8.00pm and had a drink before dining (Bier Moretti on draughts - one of my favourites!!) Went for the a la carte menu and for starters and had chicken and liver pate and my wife had Carpaccio. Both starters were very good. For mains... More

Central Glasgow venue and good food. Piazza Italia offers a set menu at £5.95 for two courses with a reasonable selection of starters and mains. Our group had bruschetta, mozzarella sticks, tuna salad and all were lovely - not the biggest portions but ample. Mains we tried : lasagne, pizza, chicken and mushroom and arrabiata and again all were lovely.... More

We started our dinner with breaded mushrooms and minestrone soup both of which were good. Our main courses were pizza and lasagne which were also good. The restaurant serves standard Italian food commonly found in Scottish Italian restaurants. However the meal deal is excellent value - £8.45 for two courses including a glass of wine. Excellent value. The area is... More
