Was very impressed with Lamora. Went on a busy Saturday night with friends. Staff are relaxed, friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious. My calamari starter and Parma ham salad was divine. Portions are a good size and everything on the table was clearly freshly made. Reasonably priced too at £32 each including wine and a tip. A little gem of an Italian restaurant at the west end of Argyle Street. Great choices on the modestly priced pre-theatre menu and some great dishes on the full a-la-carte menu. Excellent service, piping hot food and a sensibly priced wine list.

I'm really surprised that there are bad reviews about Lamora. I've been going here for years and have never had a bad meal, or bad service yet. Visited again today for lunch and food was lovely as usual, and the service was faultless. I've recommended Lamora to so many people because of the food and service. My go to place... More

We ate here late with a friend after a long days travel, not ordering til 9pm but this seemed no trouble to the friendly staff despite them having a busy service with pre-Hydro show diners! The service was slick and efficient, the food piping hot and plentiful, and our glasses were never empty! I asked for the bresaola without oil... More

I was in Glasgow working a few shifts and I was very hungry when I finished. The hotel manager where I was staying recommended Lamora, it was just around the corner and he reassured me I was in for a treat. I found the restaurant and as I walked in the friendliest restaurant owner I have ever met came towards... More

Booked ahead for our weekend in Glasgow based on good reviews. Restaurant nicely set up with a view into the kitchen. Got seated promptly, menus, drinks. Starters of soup and bread (delish). Just put down my spoon and reached to have a drink of wine and the waitress dived over and cleared the plates only for the only man serving... More

Brilliant, Staff and food Party of 6 Booked after reading trip advisor reviews. All I can say is you need to try this for yourself. Portion sizes were good, no rush to leave when finished your meal. Would I visit again. YES

My wife and I dropped in to Lamora one evening as it was near our B&B in the West End and we were tired of the usual pub menus after three weeks walking across Scotland. While not aspiring to high cuisine, Lamora delivered a wonderful meal, and the service was outstanding. We ordered from the pre-theatre menu and received great... More

Have been for a few casual meals with the family for the pre-theatre menu and that has been fine: not too busy and fast service. However the other day we took friends for a treat and it was a disaster. Arriving at 7 it was very busy and extremely noisy. The table we got was a huge square - too... More

Lovely meal with great service. Ideally located for a meal before a concert at the Hydro pre theatre menu has lots of choice & reasonable priced.
