Traditional and trendy in perfect harmony

I hadn't eaten here before but was attracted by the positive comments on TripAdvisor. I wasn't disappointed. The restaurant has very recently undergone a major makeover and handover from father to son - and also a name change to "Mora" - the family name. This is cool place to go for a glass of wine... read more

Sadly the Lamora we previouslay reviewed is no more (a sad day for the |Glasgow eating scene) we have over many years dined at lamora and recommended it to numerous friends and relatives (all of whom raved about thier meals). The restaurant has been revamped (with the business passing from father to son I believe) and renamed Mora Bar &... More

Our group of four female friends went out for a late meal last week. Our reservation was for 8pm but we had to wait for the previous table to leave. The staff remained apologetic and were doing the best they could so no fault to them whatsoever. I dined off of both the specials board as well as the regular... More

This Family run restaurant is the best in Italian Glasgow. Quality authentic food at reasonable prices. I believe it is currently under renovation, can't wait for the opening night! 5 Stars!!!!

I have eaten here many times, off all menus and never been disappointed. Also all my friends to whom I recommended Lamora have become regulars. Great care is taken with the food and if you want something tweaked it is never a problem. Everything is cooked fresh and to order except for the occasional stew. My friend happened to mention... I phoned at 21:45 the night before to book this restaurant completely on a whim, just to grab something to eat before heading for a show at the hydro close by. Managed to get a parking space right outside the place at 18:00. As soon as we walked in its a very warm, welcoming restaurant and was greeted by 2... More

Enjoyed a fantastic birthday lunch on Saturday and it looks like this gem has yet to be discovered by the locals. The service was first class and the food wouldn't be out of place in trendier city centre restaurants. The Calamari started was as good as any we've tasted, while the linguine was delicious. Don't be fooled by the exterior... More

It is such a pity that you chose to comment "sorry service". on T.A You commented that you had eaten at Lamora a few times and "generally been good" Why not comment on both positive and negative service? More

Another wonderful evening at Lamora! My family were visiting from the U.S. and we're most impressed with the quality of the food, the service and overall experience. Silvano, the owner, was in great form, entertaining and informative. The food was exceptional and our visitors commented that if this restaurant was in New York people would be queuing around the block... More

My friend suggested we go here for dinner as it was her favourite place to go and been many times before. I wasn't disappointed! Nice atmosphere with friendly staff and the food was delicious! I had carbonara ( the best I have ever had ) and my friend had the arabiatta. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.
