Very poor ! We ate from lunch specials menu 2 courses for £10. My macaroni came with 1 slice of anaemic garlic bread and the portion was tiny and very average. The ice cream was ok but huge chunk of ice in it. Service was friendly and quick. My friend had chicken balmoral and again average. Really disappointing, don't recommend.

My parents used to bank here. Came for an early dinner with my brother and his wife. Great atmosphere, very busy, even at 6pm on a Sunday. Food was good enough - the special chicken was overdone, the Moroccan Chicken was tasty, the burger was calorific. Good choice of beers and wines (anywhere serving Estrella Damm is a point above... Came twice during our stay for the Commonwealth Games, staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was lovely and different to your typical 'pub grub' perhaps the portions a little small for the price paid but the food was very tasty. Lovely atmosphere too with ambient lighting, candles and flowers on each table with music in the background.

A friend and I attended The Bank for dinner on 13th August, and we both ordered pasta dishes. The pasta itself was okay but the garlic bread it came with was shocking. Thinly sliced standard bread with very little garlic butter and so lightly toasted you hardly noticed. We told the waiter about this who said he would tell the... More

The food was great, however the service leaves areas for improvement: extremely slow to bring over a drink, mistakes with the order and then being charged for the mistake! Wont be returning for a while.

Myself and three friends had breakfast here for two consecutive days whilst we were visiting for the Commonwealth Games. The breakfast was delightful on both occasions and I would most certainly return if I was ever in the area.

Went for dinner and drinks with friends, seated quickly and order taken in good time. Food arrived quickly and was great value for money! After dinner we decided to have cocktails which once ordered actually did take 35 minutes for 5 cocktails to be made and brought to the table, the quality of the cocktails was very very poor so... Booked in advance as they have a deal where you can get 20% off your food bill with NHS card if you book in advance. The staff were accommodating as we had extra people turn up and had the feeling nothing was too much trouble. Food was really good but felt the main was a little small. All in all... More
