Even the alcohol free wheat beer is good once you get over the initial smell, which I am told is normal for all, wheat beers whether alcohol free or... read more

Our daughter gave my husband a brewery tour as part of his Christmas present, but we only made the visit last night with said daughter, husband and my 91 year old mother. The atmosphere as soon as we walked in was buzzing with the sound of people happily rounding off the working week with a glass or two of whatever... More

Essentially a German type bar and restaurant but you will find plenty on the menu if you don't like German food. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the place was busy. We were quickly seated and orders taken (there were 5 of us). Sadly at times the service wasn't brilliant and bizarrely whilst we were eating our starters the... More

It was a great night. We got a voucher off of 5pm for a brewery tour, beer tasting with a two course meal for only £15 each. It was a great buy. The tour guide was a good laugh, the tour itself didn't last long which you don't mind because it could end up boring otherwise. The food was tasty... More

We visited on a Saturday night. Firstly, very impressed with the decor, modern and light. The waitress was attentive and polite. The food was delicious - I had bratwurst with mash and sauerkraut with a side of the very tasty spatzle. All the family enjoy the food and beer and can't wait to visit again! I live in newcastle and... More

Had a groupon deal for a brewery tour, with meal. Excellent interesting tour with the host Marcel. Food was good and beer excellent. Get a tankard each included also, sadly one was cracked by the handle and didn't realise until we were home. Overall a good experience.

We came here for a late lunch and several pints of what I would describe as Scotland's answer to the finest German beers available. Very friendly staff and a really nice place to sit and enjoy one another's company whilst savouring good food and drink. Will certainly be back.

The food was far away from being German! Small portion on a big plate, overprized. We left the place hungry. Very loud, bad air. Maybe the beer is better, but didn't try because of the price and the hektic atmosphere.

This is a busy places, whatever time of day you visit so I would recommend booking if you plan to eat. The food is a mix of British and German and seems well priced. The beer is outstanding. I would particularly recommend the Hefeweisen, it's very drinkable.
