Highlight of the first day of spring

I was not thinking we might have found a place like this in Glasgow. Uberfriendly to pets and with such a great beer garden. The fact that we happened upon it in possibly the sunniest day of the whole winter must have contributed. The place was heaving. Food was good. The one disappointment I had... read more

Slow quiz. Extremely over priced food. Would rather buy a kebab from a street corner. Cheaper and tastier.

A great evening out for four friends and two dogs. The four legged friends were well catered for. Staff brought along water bowls for each of them and there was plenty of room between tables for them to move about. The beers were first class and the food was a delicious reminder of German holidays: Bayrischer Wurstsalat followed by Nürnberger... More

Went here for a family meal as I've been before and they allow dogs in. There's a good mix of traditional German food and more conventional foods and the sauerkraut seemed to go down well. The service was fantastic and the price was reasonable. The only downside is that there's quite a small range of vegetarian food but it's a... More

German style beer and food in amazing surroundings . The Templeton Carpet Factory is a magnificent building and opposite The Peoples Palace & a wonderfully restored terracotta fountain. The staff were very friendly when we popped in on spec on Friday afternoon with a view to eating later . Although preparing for a wedding party they were really helpful and... More

Family lunch with great anticipation of both the Dark West beer and the Teutonic fayre. Great service, place was bustling and the spatzle was special. The apple strudel was a delight. Been here many times and the quality remains consistently good. And the beer...fab.

The West Brewery and Restaurant is located in the striking Templeton Building adjacent to Glasgow Green and the Clyde Walkway. As you would expect it has half a dozen of its own beers on draught and a wide selection of others in bottles. The menu is diner-style and in addition to burgers and sandwiches has a number of German beer-restaurant... More

Visited Glasgow Green and Peoples Palace on a wet Sunday in February with family, and found the pub for lunch. Superb location, building is absolutely stunning. Atmosphere inside was not a disappointment. service was excellent, a number of tables were reserved, indicates could be busy and possibly booking for future visits would be required, particularly if in busier season. 2...
