Went there with a small group for Christmas lunch. The staff were very welcoming, the surroundings are attractive and there was a good choice on the menu and at a reasonable price. All of the dishes were attractively presented and the quality of the food was excellent. The service was very good, friendly and gave enough time between courses. Everything... More

We were SO looking forward to a Fabulous Christmas Lunch as the food here is superb !!! However we were not told ( having booked in November ) that time was limited and only told after we had finished the main course !!! So rather than gulp down dessert and coffee - we opted to taxi into town and find... More

Taking our relations from London out for a meal we thought that The Sisters would give a good taste of Scottish cuisine. We were not disappointed. A cold wet night but inside was relaxed and cheerful. A warm welcome, helpful, attentive service, and the food was excellent. We were slightly apprehensive that early on a Monday evening would be a... More

I dined here recently with a group of friends for our Christmas dinner. The service was excellent - our waitress was very helpful and efficient. The food was a bit of a let down - ok but unadventurous and bland at times. To begin we were given plain white bread and unsalted butter - unfortunately, things were not going to... More

Visited on wet and windy Sunday and got there early staff were very accommodating and let us in early. Service is excellent and the choice of food has something to suit everyone. We opted for the haddock risotto, which is exceptional and Ramsay's Carluke ham which was also excellent. Choice of wine was also good and prices reasonable. Sadly we... More

4.45 last Saturday and it was half full. A bit surreal to start with as it was all tables of two at one side. A bit like an odd valentines eat out. However within 15 minutes a large group came in and filled the other half and the place was buzzing. Food was excellent and staff really nice. The baked... More

Five of us sat down to a wonderful meal on a Friday evening. Right off the staff made us very welcome. The Restaurant had one wee drawback. It is very small and booking is a must My meal consisted of Mussels for a starter, Then Chicken and Haggis and finally the Puff Candy Meringue with Ice Cream and Butterscotch Sauce.... More

I ate dinner here with friends. While they seemed content with their meals, I report here only on my own experience. The restaurant was not busy and so expectations were high for quality food. My main course was simple stuff - just fillet steak with a pepper cream sauce, the most expensive dish on the menu. The beef was overcooked... More
