Description: The Doll's House is one of St Andrew's most recognisable spots to eat...
The Doll's House is one of St Andrew's most recognisable spots to eat & drink- 2015 sees the restaurant celebrate its 20th anniversary. Specialising in hearty "good mood food", The Doll's House offers a diverse range of quality offers- from weekend brunch to value market menu dining. As well as an abundance of fresh scones and pastries, the main menu is packed full of lighter bites like big bowl salads and shellfish specials, along with a hearty mix of casseroles and roasts. We like to think there are some nice little touches too, like the "Eden Brewery Beer Battered Fish", and a new signature piece- a scrummy and slightly indulgent afternoon tea for two. Those joining us at The Dolls House for Sunday Roast every week can feel good about the splurge- we will donate 50p from the sale of each roast to Families First- a local charity based in the area. On the drinks list, you'll find a wonderful selection of gins to suit every palate, complimented by a range of carefully selected fresh garnishes and premium tonics. If you are looking for a spot of something sweeter, the Liquid Dessert range is exactly what it sounds like- a small but perfectly formed collection of cocktails that taste like their pudding namesake. Upstairs in the Eden Mill Private Dining Room, we can cater for cosy dinner parties and celebrations for groups of up to 12.

Several Visits over Summer

One of the better value restaurants at St Andrews. Not fine dining , but the meals are straight forward and the fish is fresh and tasty. Good wine list. Ambience and staff are good so would recommend this restaurant. It's usually busy so book a table.

This used to be a fab restaurant however this is the second sub standard meal I've had since it's been taken over - menu, food and service have all gone downhill. I ordered a burger which was cold and service was not great. Really disappointed as this place used to be fab under old owners, we will not be back... More

Was looking foward to my birthday meal with family as I have done for years and sadly was disappointed. Liked the new decor and seat/booth layout downstairs. Service was slow, not many customers in,menu much altered less choice, struggled to find something I liked. Slow to take plates away and waitress could have brought dessert menu when main course was... More

We had been looking forward to trying the Dolls House for a while. Unfortunately, it did not at all live up to expectations. Food was medicare at best. My bean burger was more like sweet potato mash with a few chunks of onion and whole chickpeas thrown in - it didn't hold together at all and was mushy and pretty... More

Good food, excellent atmosphere, excellent service from the staff and good value. Love this place and we have been a few times and it has never disappointed yet.

We sat outside the Dolls House last week. I cannot fault the food but the service, usually so good there was not consistent. This I could forgive, however the standard of cleanliness in the toilets I cannot. I can't help but wonder about the hygiene in the kitchen when the washrooms are so neglected.

We started utdoor, but turned indoor after a while. We visited during the British Open week. Wrong time of the year to be there. The staff was stressed and could have been better trained, they were reluctant to let us in (ordinary, simple dressed - not posh golfers), we had to buy an overpriced, set meny. The taste of Our... Our party of five had Sunday lunch here, when ?I asked for the wine list, I was abruptly told it was already on the table, my fault as it was end on and I didn't see it, but no need to be treated that way. We ordered 5 Roast Beef dinners, asked if there was horseradish sauce and mustard, we... More

This was our first visit to The Dolls House on a recommendation and overall did not disappoint. Staff were very efficient and friendly and our meal was lovely. We had a table just inside the door which was not perfect as there was a lot of coming and going with customers and plates of food and, schoolboy error, no toilet... More

We had eaten here a number of times , but not for many months, and it was near the top of the list of possibles for dinner last friday.
