My partner and I dinned here for lunch. When we arrived we where seated in the lounge to have a look over menus and offered a drink to start of our afternoon. Lost the rustic charm, not happy with refurbishment, however the service and food are still exceptional.

We were lucky enough to spend last Friday night at the Peat Inn - accommodation plus dinner and more. The accommodation is exceptional. Every detail has been thought about, including unusual touches such as the torch to light the way home across the cobbles after a lengthy meal, wooden skittles, a lovely decanter of sherry and a selection of music in... The dinner service at the Peat Inn is excellent. Beautiful presentation of delicious food through all of the courses left our group well satisfied with the meal. Personally speaking, the recent renovation of the interior is not to my taste, but others in group thought the decor was lovely - so each to their own. Also, the atmosphere was a... More

had amazing value tasting menu with wines as a birthday treat ... And it was a treat indeed. The wine was served by such a generously knowledgeable waiter, the food was perfect and service relaxed and attentive. A wee gem and worth the journey from anywhere! Won't use a birthday as an excuse to return.

We enjoyed a great night away - this is a restaurant with rooms - excellent suite with all you could want and a fresh breakfast delivered to your suite. The smoked halibut was superb. We chose the taster menu and were very impressed with the whole experience. The food was extra-ordinary and one small matter of a taste clash (to... More

I hadn't been to the Peat Inn for many years so was delighted to be invited by friends from Dollar as a suggested rendezvous to meet myself from Aberdeen . My friends took a taxi but I stayed over. We all enjoy going to fine restaurants such as The Kitchin and Castle Terrace and the last time we met was... More

We enjoyed a wonderfully indulgent dinner, superb food and good wines, with attentive yet unobtrusive staff. One of the best meals I've had the pleasure to consume (as per our previous two visits), with a menu that is different from the ordinary, without being mad.

Revisited Peat Inn within a year of our last visit and it has been completely renovated and upgraded. What an amazing difference, it is now so much more modern, fresh and bright. All that work in six weeks, impressive. We took the chief's menu (£45 each) and we both loved it. Superb complimentary flavours just made this an exceptional lunch.... More
