There were six of us on an April Saturday evening which had to be booked well ahead. We took the menu which was excellent. Comments included the following 'one of the very best meals I have had' and 'the quail's egg starter was perhaps the best dish I have ever tasted'. We had a lovely time and greatly appreciated not... Have had meals here before but lunch was a first.GREAT value for what you pay. Service was lovely and the meal to "die for"! I would highly recommend going here.

We went to the peat inn for the fort time for our wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Dakota suite which was very nice and the staff were lovely. We had the a la carte menu and were not disappointed. The waiting staff were superb, food was great and the cheese trolley was my total highlight! My only disappointment was... More

Our latest trip to the Peat Inn for lunch was not up to expectations. Our coats were not taken on arrival. The duck egg white in my starter was, in my view, undercooked being still clear and runny in places. When I commented on this to the waiter he said he would let the kitchen know and that was the... we took advantage of the midweek offer on room and tasting menu - the Palermo Suite was beautiful; very stylish (perhaps shower access a little challenging for the non-fit?).... the best bit was the meal - superb quality (perhaps too generous portions for a 6 courser?) and a perfectly considered wine-flight with superb service from the waiters and lady sommelier.... From the food to the suites The Peat Inn delivers every time. Our little peace of heaven which we have had to visit at least once a year since 2007! As parents of young children discovering that we could not only have fine dining but the completely relaxing experience of a fabulous breakfast served in our suite was simply the... More

We dined with a friend on Saturday and we all chose the Chefs menu without the wines. Every single course was delicious and beautifully presented. We cannot wait to go back. For this standard of dining for £45 per person is excellent value. See you all very soon, thanks again x

Lunch at the Peat Inn priced at £19 was good value but came away just a little disappointed and not quite satisfied. Portions small with unusual combinations which sometimes worked and other flavours over powerful. £16 for Plaice just all soft textures no crunch whatsoever. Reputation took us there, but delivery will not take us back.

We stayed 2 nights at the Peat Inn booking the Gourmet Break. The room was as others have described with a sitting room upstairs and a bedroom and en suite downstairs. The sitting room and bedroom were clean and well decorated. There was everything required for a short break. The en suite was a bit dated. There was an over... More

We reserved a table for three of us for the month of January as part of a Christmas present for my mother-in-law. I have to say it was worth every penny. The service, the professionalism of the staff and the food were excellent. The mother-in-law (who isn’t easy to please I have to say) was delighted with her Christmas gift.... More
