We stumbled upon this grocery shop/restaurant by accident, so glad we did - it is fantastic!! Fresh, local food and produce, unusual products. We had lunch here. The Warm Goat Cheese Salad was incredible! The BEST goat's cheese I've ever tasted!!! Great service, too!

You will be eating in a barn, so don`t forget warm clothing. Don`t sit near the entrance, it can be chilly. The steaks are amazing, sides are little extra but great. Well worth a visit after a day on the links. This is not fine dining but steaks bbq`d over wood fire served on a wooden platter is the way... More

We had a family party of 10. This was a relaxed evening for large group. Limited menu - steaks and burgers - but good quality. I would have liked to see a better quality wine selection. The burger was great and overall a lovely relaxed evening DRESS UP WARMLY as it can sometimes be cold

Forty minutes from ordering to delivery of food. No explanation or apology; the place was three-quarters empty so they could hardly claim to be busy. The tables were grimey; my paper napkin stuck to preexistening grease: why not clean a little better. The food, when it arrived, was tasty enough. But why should a restaurant be so complacent about speed... More

We have been her 3 or 4 times now but wouldn't go back. Food is OK/fine, if rather pricey, but some of staff are distinctly frosty. We have felt 'processed' rather than 'served' on more than one occasion now and you tend to be hurried along at times. Plenty better places in the St Andrews area than this one.

If the weather is good enough its a great place for meat from the BBQ (Meat Barn), it has a nice farm shop with it as well. Good place for lunch!

Popped in here on the off chance that it did "fine pieces" and we were not disappointed! The cafe was very busy but we were seated quickly and out order was taken. Lots of choice and it was a difficult choice to make as everything looked great! I had a fruit scone with clotted cream and jam- it arrived warm... More

Love this place! Steak barn is open for the summer months and is really a place you have to visit. All steaks and burgers are cooked on the wood chip barbecue. The smell is amazing! Good choice of steaks and the chips are very tasty too :-) Friendly staff round this place off as my current favourite restaurant The butcher... More
