Excellent service and almost excellent food, yesterday. St Monans fishcake was a bit bland, but the texture was very good. Coffee beans specially roasted in Dundee, so teabags in the cup and a pot of water was unexpected. BUT, the white pudding bought at the butcher's counter, eaten tonight, was a trip down memory lane, c 1955. I remember helping my parents... More

We didn't try the Café and the Steak Barn wasn't open but I think we'll be back to give both a try in the future. I was impressed with the farm shop. A great selection of local produce and things from further afield. The deli counter and butchers had some really nice produce on offer. It isn't cheap but it's... More

We have had many good snacks / meals in the Larder Coffee Shop; this was our first visit to the Steak Barn. Service mixed - slow to acknowledge those waiting to be seated and orders slow to arrive. Order was taken quickly after we were seated but then rather a long wait, although the barn was no more than 1/3rd... More

Enjoyed a lovely steak dinner and fabulous sharing platter at this wonderful Steak Barn. It is a unique quirky concept of sitting virtually outdoors in a rustic environment. The food was very nice and a nice ambience but it was freezing cold.......I dont see why they cant invest in some patio type heating just to take the chill away....we would... More

We went for coffee with another couple. Give yourself time to wander around the "Larder" part of the building - there is a LOT of stock. Everything looked fresh and well laid out and there were some interesting items which would make nice gifts for foodie friends. In the restaurant we all had scones and coffee. The restaurant area was... More

Visited for a coffee with a family member and was surprised at the amount of people in the café at just after 10 in the morning - this is a very clean café with nice chairs and tables/decor and excellent service from the staff. We had sausage on morning rolls - 3 links sausages - that clearly come from the... More

We went early on Saturday morning as it gets really busy. I had the most delicious coffee and walnut cake. The drinks are reasonably priced and the scones are also lovely. After you have something tasty to eat you can then buy lovely produce and gifts in their shop. Will definitely be back and would also like to visit the... More

Very nice place to go for a coffee and a lovely big warm scone. A very nice farm type shop to buy a good variety of produce and other items. Seems very popular and can be busy. Not the best latte I've ever had mainly because the top wasn't nice and smooth but looked a bit like soap suds, but... More
