Description: At Rocca St Andrews our recipe for success is a fusion of exquisite food...
At Rocca St Andrews our recipe for success is a fusion of exquisite food with a backdrop of one of the world's most famous sporting locations - the Old Course. Like the many champions that have graced the hallowed course, we too top the leaderboard as one of only 25 restaurants in the country with three AA Rosettes in 2013 - a reward for the creativity and passion of the Rocca family. The stunning view over the 18th means guests enjoy much more than just a delicious meal. Our menu features Scottish cooking with an Italian twist. Fresh ingredients are sourced from artisan producers either on our doorstep or in Tuscany and there is something to suit every palate. With a real pedigree in both our front-of-house and in our kitchen, you can rest assured a visit to Rocca will live long in the memory. Come and visit us and let our passion for food become your passion for delicious dining.

Pricey but worth it

We had a great dinning experience here on Thursday night open weekend. Were seated overlooking the 18th Green. The 3 course meal was tasty and filling. The red wine we had was a great part NGO with our dinner. Must visit if you like fine dinning while at St Andrews.

After making a reservation for lunch, I read about a deal that was going, I.E. if you purchased a bottle of wine you could have an overnight stay, dinner for two and lunch the next day. I am not sure I have these details correct , but something along these lines, what a deal !!! " I suggest you ask... More

Arrogant "Head Mistress-like" maitre de spoils what could have been a glorious evening. A fine restaurant with great food and a lovely wine waiter. The whole problem with this establishment is that it exudes arrogance and a general lack of class and fine finish.. Complacency is all of our own worst enemy at times and disappointing that such a cracking... More

Apologies if you had an unpleasant time with our staff during the open. The extension of the open championship by a further day proposed many challenges. Due to the level of demand required that evening, curtness and adrenaline may have led to a slip of equanimity which has been taken as arrogance. We are glad you enjoyed the food, however,... More

First. I must say that the food and wine recommendation was very good. No complaints at all. However. The fact that the restaurant being on Links Road creates the aura that this restaurant is the place to be and also some staff still believe in the class system makes visiting this place on the Sunday of The Open week quite... At Rocca we continually strive to achieve the best. Unfortunately, on this night we fell below the standard which you were expecting, which we apologise for. However, what is puzzling, is your comment mentioning our involvement into 'the class system'? This is something we most certainly do not invest any time into and never will as it simply does not... Pre Fixe menu for Open Championship week. Three courses for £75. The staff was attentive. Presentation of the food was outstanding. Everyone in my party of six enjoyed the food. We had a table in the bay window overlooking #18 and #1 of The Old Course. A little difficulty sorting out the check at the end and only one credit... More

Wow. Where do you start? This was a destination as I wanted to visit the winner of Masterchef's restaurant. What I wasn't prepared for was the stunning view of the 18th green of The Old Course! Would love to go back for dinner but the lunch was outstanding value at £21/2 courses or £27/ 3 courses. The wine list is... More

amazing location with views over 18th hole..graduation menu was lovely and amazing presentation. staff very friendly and helpful with photos and balloons etc..the only disappointing thing was the chairs we were given were not comfortable, they looked like cheap function chairs and not the plush as in other parts of the dinning room.

We were suggested to go there, I was looking forward to eating the UK masterchef champion's menu, but I am extremely disappointed, and, even worse, I felt sick the morning after our dinner there. The attention in the presentation and the quality of food was certainly great, but each plate was so complex, full of ingredients that, all together, created... More

The meal was first class- well presented, bursting with flavour and just about worth the price. However the staff were too obtrusive- interrupting conversations to ask if all was ok, making OTT introductions on what was on each plate when serving, and the wine waiter for all his undoubted knowledge just did his own thing when serving our wine.
