There is a great selection of items to choose from here, great selection of cakes/scones, homemade soup, sandwiches as well as Wine by the glass. We had the Charcuterie platter and Hoummus with Pitta bread and olives. With a glass of Red Wine it made for a very enjoyable lunch. There is always a buzz in here, plenty of people... More

We regularly eat eat, mostly for lunch as its consistently of a high standard. For a Club Sandwich and platter of Pita Bread, Olives and Humous as well as a coffee and a ginger beer it was £16. Not cheap but I must say still worth it. Service is always friendly and efficient too. They also do various things in... More

I had a light lunch with a friend of mine. I did arrive 20 min early. And staff were aware I was alone for a while. 2 different staff members came up and asked if I wanted anything while I waited. My reply was "no, I will wait for my friend" As my friend was running late...I did ask a... More

Enjoy the food and the coffee here. Service is quick and staff pleasant. Prices very reasonable, portions quite substantial and food very fresh.

Had lunch there and the place was busy which normally is a good sign but not today. Asked for a latte got a cappuccino. Both start and mains arrived together so main was cold. Staff are not dealing with the meet of tables for lunch!!! Starter where not cleared away from the small table. Then we found something in one... More

I regularly pop into Reubens whenever I have time, and am looking for a quiet coffee or light lunch in town. The quality of food is always good, and the ambiance is so relaxing. I have also attended a wine-tasting event here, with a crowd of friends, and it was great fun, and on another occasion celebrated a special event... More

On revomendation, we booked a table for brunch for 15 of us before visiting the Panto at The Alhambra. Julie could not have been more helpful in sorting everything out and suggested we pre-order our food choices to save time on the day. The brunch options were limited but very tasty and it was nice to have the option of... More

Reading other reviews, this cafe seems to get a mix of reactions. I love it as it serves good coffee in a relaxed and friendly setting. Lunches are light with interesting home-made soups, sandwiches, salads and some hot dishes, the latter at times a bit hit and miss. For example, sometimes the mac and cheese is very cheesey but at... We were in today and asked for our hot drinks to come with our food. A lady and I say lady loosely called Julie served us and then avoided all eye contact till after our food was finished. I then pointed out that we had not had our drinks. She said oh I'm busy should have been the boy serving... More

Arrived just after 1pm to be told there was no Soup, Chips, Stovies and something else I forget as the list was quite a surprise. It was due to a holiday and no deliveries we were told. I find that hard to believe. The staff were very miserable and quiet but we were sure it must have been the waiters... More
