Poor staffing and food.

We went here for a fathers day meal. The girl that served us look like she was wearing pyjamas (leggings and black tshirt). She didn't seem interested and needed to be reminded we wanted food. We thought though as we are here...... Big mistake. The Mrs ordered Fishnand chips. It looked and... read more

Went here today for lunch and the service was awful. When we walked in some woman I think it was the manger shouted over to us "this booth here do" not even a hello or anything. We sat down and it took 10 minutes for someone to take our order then a further 10 minutes for drinks to come out.... More

We visited the Pancake Place on Friday afternoon with 2 friends and their children (one 3 years and one 2 months old). My friend discretely asked if we could sit in an upper booth so she would be able to breast feed. We were joined by someone who looked like a manager who very loudly recited the health and safety... Without doubt THE most disgusting food that I have ever paid hard-earned money for. I am so amazed that this place still has customers, but I guess its only by visiting you know how bad it is. The owner clearly does not care for the business. I had a chicken curry pancake. OMG ! .... SALTY ? ? ?. You... More

Hi, very sorry you didn't enjoy the chicken curry pancake on your recent visit. We do buy in pre cooked chicken breast meat for that particular dish and it is something we could look at. We do buy fresh meat from our butcher for many of the other dishes on our menu but not chicken. The chinese style curry sauce... More

I visit the Pancake Place regularly and each time I am thrilled with the standard of service and food provided. I visited with my family and the only downfall was not being able to sit in many booths due to needing a highchair. The irn bru was tasting flat but once I spoke to the manager she was very nice... We visited here with our 2 children on a Saturday afternoon. After standing for almost 5 minutes waiting to be seated - while several waitresses and the manager walked by several times without acknowledging us - we should have heard the alarm bells. We ordered our meals and waited....and waited....and waited. After over half an hour our food turned up.... More

The service is a bit slow and disorganised and the food isn't likely to win any awards; however if you are looking for somewhere to eat that isn't a gastro-pub, a franchise or coffee shop then this is an acceptable choice. It is a pity that everything seems to come with chips and I'm sure with a bit of imagination... More

I took my children kids for a treat, when I first walked in, I could sense one member of staff didn't seem happy at all.my kids were being very behaved, but when I went to the toilet, the same lady was very rude to my kids, my son is autistic and got really upset about whatever she said to him... Visited this for a lunch with my Fiance, we had the combo starter to share followed by 2 pancakes, the pancakes were tasty and large. The place was busy when we arrived at lunchtime, but were seated quickly, the server was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place

When asked if we would be charged was told not my decision and need to speak to manager, who I asked to speak to. Manager very rude was told they... More
