Dog Friendly, Good Food, Historic Building

Travelling with a dog it is always hard to find a restraunt, that allows dogs and serves good food: the Shore at Carronshore ticked both boxes! The manager made the dog feel most at home bringing him water and biscuits, he also made us feel most at home. The menu is extensive with good Scottish... read more

Been here on a few occasions, always has a nice atmosphere and is usually busy. I would recommend booking ahead as it's not the biggest of places. The food is very good, but perhaps a little on the expensive side for Falkirk. Will continue to return I the future.

Unless you are their before 6 for their early bird prices this is expensive for pub food. nice, good quality pub food but still pub food. used to be much better value but has increased its prices as its gained popularity.

Nice wee place for a family lunch. 2 courses under £10 and good portion sizes. Our table had, quesadillas, fish and chips, steak pie and Mac n cheese. The home cut chips with some skin on stole the show. I've eaten chips from lands end to john o' groats - these were in my top two. Possibly top place -... More

Went for a dinner with my wife and daughter to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary. Each of us was spoiled for choice from an extensive menu. We each had a starter and a main course with no room left for a dessert. Each plate was well presented and tasted as good as it looked. The service was excellent, attentive but... More

Stumbled Across this great wee place by accident! Husband said he has read a great review from Tam Cowan in the paper about it. He was not joking. The three of us ordered the Sunday Roast. It was truly delicious. A massive Yorkshire pudding with 3 thick cut slices of Rib Roast, veg, and roast and mashed potatoes all served... More

Only been once and i wasn't overwhelmed by the food or service. Waitress didn't take much notice of us. Wasn't the most attentive and looked miserable. There was however a waiter who helped serve and was much more enthusiastic and friendly. The chicken quesadillas with chips that i ordered weren't amazing. Good portion size but the quesadillas were very dry... More

Just been to The Shore for some lunch for the first time. We had been looking for places to eat where we could take the dog. We were welcomed and shown to a table and our dog was given a dish of water. The food was amazing and service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
