Great local food

This is very local to us, within walking distance. The food and service are wonderful. Sunday roast is worth going for alone. Do visit you won't be disappointed

This place is best left to the narrow minded locals who have adopted it as their own. Our visit was soured by a local who used his dog to scare my wife, even after explaining that my wife was not comfortable with the dog. The bar staff did nothing to help although the incident took place within their sight. There... More

We were delighted to find this little gem - intended just having a coffee but the menu was good with choices of wraps to mains and desserts. 4 adults ,accompanied by 2 golden retrievers and a little spaniel, all delighted with the food, service and comfortable surroundings. The dogs were served first - large clean bowl of water and a big bone... More

Visited with friends for an Austrailian Wine Tasting event. Lunch was served along with a selection of wines which were explained in a friendly, simple manner by their wine expert. Food was a set menu and very enjoyable. The selection of red and white wines to accompany each course were very tasty!! A different, enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.... More

Visited the Shore on many occasions now and have never been disappointed with the food or service. The staff are always great at accommodating our wee one and make you feel at home. Possibly a bit on the expensive side at dinner time but hasn't stopped us going back. Can't believe the garden has been turned into a car park... More

Lovely establishment, pleasant surroundings and nicely decorated. Meal was delicious, we all agreed on this and we all had different choices from the menu. The service was extremely good, very attentive but not over bearing. Really good value for money. Tips- I'd suggest you invest in a few cocktail glasses. Check toilets through the evening as bins are quite small... More

I've been to the shore before several times but tonight's meal was very special; having dinner with family made it. The starters were all excellent, I had the pate which was rich creamy and silky smooth - highly recommend it. The Kobe burger was exceptional. The crape and ice cream what a way to end a meal! The ice cream... More

Went to the Shore for Mother's Day. Lovely meal and good choice of menu. Would have preferred heated plates but presentation was lovely and food tasty.

I visited The Shore yesterday lunchtime to celebrate my birthday. It was a wonderful experience. The quality of the food was outstanding. I had haggis and black pudding, followed by a truly delicious fillet steak, cooked to perfection. The staff were extremely efficient and went to great lengths to make my visit special. I love this place. I cannot recommend... More

Been here a few times before and never disappoints! Portions are large, food freshly cooked, well presented and good choices. Definitely recommend and surprised it isn't higher up the choices on tripadvisor! Noticed its a Dugs In Pubs place now so will be sure to go back with my dog.....another plus point!
