Consistently Good

I have been coming here since the mid eighties and the menu has hardly changed, but I tell you what it does not need to. If you want good old fashioned plain grub then this is the place to come to. Bright dining area if you are in the main restaurant a bit darker in the side area. The food... read more

Could not fault the food and the waitress could not have been more helpful. However, I suffer from several allergies and asked advice and someone who I presume was the Manager came to speak to me. I just got the feeling I was being a bit of a nuisance asking silly questions. I can't take anything away from the quality... More

Well presented food which was both hot and very tasty. Staff seemed to be kept on there toes by a manager/owner who never stopped working. Very clean in all areas which goes to make it an almost pleasant dining experience

It had been a lot of years since I had last been here and it was like walking into a time capsule. Not very much had changed but the staff the service and the quality of food took me back to the seventies. It was a great meal and apart from the waiter spilling the whole tray of drinks over me... We stopped in with the kids after a day out at monster mania we had no issues being seated as was fairly quiet for a Saturday. It's very much still the same decor since I was a child very dated but it didn't impact on our visit. We had barley sat down and the lady asked for our order we... More

I had a chuckle at some of the reviews 'fine dining' was mentioned I'm sure Michel Roux would have a few things to say about that. Les get this straight fine dining is not something you will find at the dutch inn. The decor has been the same for the past 25 years and the food at its peak was... More

Situated in the quiet village of Skinflats just along the road from the Kelpies. The Dutch Inn has been a favourite family eating place for many years. The food is good wholesome traditional fare, and the restaurant has a large come-back clientele. Open for lunch at 1130 am, we had the battered cod, which curiously comes with peas, chips and...
