When we visit Edinburgh we always dine here, Edinburgh is an amazing city but when you know that a Thai Restaurant of this standing is nearby in Union Street just across from the Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre then for us it's the cream on the cake. I actually lose sleep dreaming about the amazing Green Thai Curry that is served by... More

Just wanted to share experience of Phuket Pavilion - my first time there - this evening. We spent considerable time having it verified from several members of staff (because they each offered conflicting information) that every 'vegetarian' curry dish on the menu in fact contains shrimp paste. They import their paste from Thailand as opposed to making it fresh on... More

We had went there twice for dinner during our visit in Edinburgh. Whatever Pai Thai or Tong Yung soup, are really nice, almost same as the one we tried in Samui. Great Thai food! The service was nice and friendly. Definitely recommend it!

Went in May 2014 (sorry for delay in posting!), out of pure chance and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service, food etc all excellent. Will be booking again shortly. It really is a gem of a place.

We popped into this restaurant before we saw Wicked at the Playhouse on Saturday. The food and service were fantastic. Great value for money and excellent choice of dishes. I like trying Veggie stuff when I am out and the choice is great. Would thoroughly recommend!!!

We ordered the banquet and were delighted by the wonderful array of tasty dishes we were treated to and the portion sizes were just right for the two of us. Service was impeccable and having asked for our bill we were treated to a complementary liquor coffee which was delicious. To top it off the bill was truly value for... More

Found this little restuarant wandering around the town looking for a nice wee bistro. The place was full with a constant stream of diners. Service was a a little chaotic but the food was fantastic - beautifully presented on quaint crockery, hot, exquisitely flavoursome and not overly expensive. Would definitely go back here next time we visit Edinburgh.

I visited this restaurant on Saturday 29 November. It's very handy for the Playhouse and there's a decent pre-theatre menu. The food was OK- we had chicken satay to start then pad Thai and a Panang curry- but nothing special. We had the misfortune of being served by an extremely rude waiter. He didn't smile once and made us feel... More

We went to try something new. The waitress could have been bit helpful in selecting the dish, but unfortunately she had difficulty in understanding what we were looking for. So we ordered pad thai. The smell of the dish itself was a turn off. May be we selected a wrong dish :(

Sorry to hear about you difficulty trying to place your order with the waitress, she also had difficulty understanding your request for an Indian dish as we are strictly Thai. Regards Bill More

This is a great restaurant and the staff were so lovely. They took the time to answer questions that we had about the menu and were very polite. The food was delicious and tasted authentic. I will definitely go here again when I'm in the area again!
