We made a last minutes late booking and my friends and I had dinner at this restaurantand we had a great time, the staff were wonderful, and food was divine. Definitely worth a visit. We order the dad's lamb curry. It was succulent and beautiful flavours I could not stop eating it was very addictive and I ended up cleaning... More

I had read a lot about this restaurant, not least on this website. Everything suggested that this was going to be good. Well, I dunno.... We had booked a table for 1745 on a Saturday which was just as well as soon after the place was going like a fair and folk were waiting on the pavement. The staff were... More

Probably the 2nd best indian restaurant in UK, but the best in Edinburgh ! It's not cheap, but not expensive. The food is very tasty, and sometimes really spicy ! If you plan to go there be aware that you can wait for a long time before you get a table, especially during week-ends. It's true that the waiting can... More

Wish we had known it is a BYOB restaurant so we could have purchased a great bottle of wine. We were able to go to the pub next door and buy beer to drink with dinner. Food was great -recommend the sag with chicken or just plain.

Friendly staff but very slow service. Seems to attract a certain type of crowd, which when we visited included a shrieking drunk girl and her boyfriend just interested in have the hottest food on the menu, spoilt it for everyone else in the restaurant. Felt the prices were high given the location and quality of the food. Average veg pakora... More

This place is different and interesting. Family run, with some clever marketing ploys by the owners e.g. their killer curry (for which you have to sign a disclaimer) and a curry featuring Scotland's other national drink, the chicken Iron Bruna. Décor is bright and cheerful, staff are friendly and smiley. Food was no better or worse than any other half... More

You can understand that a place is frequented for its food when the decor is somewhat special. Bright is one word that comes to mind. But one can forget the constant running of the film of their chilli contest because of the family's lovely service. We arrived half an hour late for our booking and the lovely guy was apologising...
