Great food, very special service from The Man with the kilt. Not quite what you would expect at an Indian place. We loved it!

Second visit - back with the kids, who were fascinated with the idea of chocolate curries and marshmallow naan. Both met and exceeded their expectations. The staff were again welcoming and did everything they could ensure we had a great time. 'Team Shetland' were impressed and will be back.

If you like spicy food, this is the place. The portion size of a curry is overwhelming; I don't think I've ever finished half of one. The mixed pickle starter is also amazing. So is the price!

Great find after a busy rugby weekend. Was recommended by a friend and will return. Tradition menu and specials matched up with a solid wine list and attentive staff and service. A kitchen that obviously knows what it is doing, a great evening. Thanks

Didn't come for the killer curries but instead went for the milder menu. Service was friendly and food was excellent, so a very tasty dining experience. They don't have a licence so BYOB. Worth a visit.

Coming from Glasgow, often awarded the UK's Curry Capital title, Edinburgh has a long, long way to go in the Indian restaurant stakes. The dark brown, stodgy, solid balls of pakora we were offered were the worst I have tasted.Like something out of a cheap fish and chip shop - not as pakora should be at all.Absolutely unforgivable in my... I randomly went on to Google to find an affordable Indian that none of my party had been to before. Kismot had been recommended in a news article and was close to my area, so I decided to give it a go, drawn in by the Irn Bruna curry and other unique curries that were on offer. Do not let... More

This place is absolutely delicious! My wife and I love Indian food and frequently go to places to in New York City for Indian Food. Kismot had some of the best Indian food we have ever had! The house special Deshmi Chicken curry was mouth-wateringly delicious. We also loved the mixed vegetables in Lahore sauce. The service was friendly and... More
