The food at Giuliano's is really tasty. It's location makes it the perfect place to have dinner before going to see a show at the Playhouse. It's a bit expensive but I can guess they can charge those prices for it because of the location. It gets quite noisy though.

Had a good meal and staff were really good and fun. Big disappointment was getting the bill and finding out they charged £7.50 for a bottle of Moretti beer. Had just been over in omni centre before meal, and was getting same beer, same size for under £3!! Shame because would go back if it wasn't for feeling ripped off.

Giuliano's is a family run Italian restaurant in central Edinburgh. Although we hadn't booked we were given a table straight away (the venue is larger than it first appears from the outside). Despite the fact that on the day we went the restaurant was quite busy levels of service were very good and we all enjoyed our meals. The menu... More

Visited here with my daughter for lunch while on a 2 day visit to Edinburgh and what a find! In all honesty we were looking for a different restaurant and had got lost when we spotted Giuliani's and thought we would give it a try. The service was second to none - including a new member of staff who had... More

Eight of us went to Giulianos for dinner. We were accommodated and the service was excellent. The waiters were friendly, knew the menu and wines on selection. The food came out promptly and the meals were excellent. Cooked perfectly, good portions and a great experience all round. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody.

For my father's 78th birthday on 09/08/2014. Party of 9. Pre booked. Starters lukewarm. Niece's main course lamb chops fatty and inedible. She had to go elsewhere to eat afterwards. Nobody asked why her plate was untouched. Father had spaghetti and meatballs, overload of spaghetti and 3 lukewarm meatballs. Son had carbonara. Heavy on spaghetti and he said instead of... More

Our taxi driver suggested this restaurant and we were not disappointed. It's popular with Italians which is a huge recommendation in itself! Very busy so I would suggest booking in advance if you can. A varied selection of dishes on the menu and a reasonable selection of wines. The service was pleasant and efficient, and the food was plentiful and... More

Nice restaurant, nice food and drink. Interior could be updated a bit. This was the second time I've eaten here (FEB '13 first time, AUG '14 now). 10 people in our party. Food came very quickly. I had veal which was lovely. Pizza's looked great as did pasta's and salad's. House wine was great value. Price for the 10 of... More

Luckily got the last table on the first night of the Tattoo. Was served quickly and the waiters were efficient and friendly. Food was really tasty with lots of flavor. Desserts were amazing. Overall for 2 courses, 2 drinks and bread to share we were less than £40.

We ate here on Sunday 3rd August and to be honest, the food, service and drinks could only be described as average. We arrived after the pre theatre rush so we could see no reason for the poor service. The restaurant is located across the road from the theatre and obviously relies on this business, if it was to rely... More
