Being in close proximity to the Edinburgh playhouse I was expecting high prices and low quality, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The decor could probably do with updating a bit, but the food portions were plentiful, good quick service and the food was good quality - I had a Chateaubriand for one which I have never seen on a menu... We have always dined at Giuliano's whenever we are visiting the Playhouse, the pre theatre menu is amazing value for money & you can mix & match with the Ale Carte menu & the food is always delicious. The service is 2nd to none, always you will receive a warm welcome.

I always have the agnolotti al salmone when we're here and again, they did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. Top marks for having a cheese board too - it's so irritating when restaurants only have sweet dishes to finish.

Booked in with 6 friends before heading to see Wicked at the Playhouse just opposite. Place very busy, took around 40 mins to take our food order. Ordered off the pre theatre menu- great value, however we had to skip dessert as service so slow we were worried we would miss the beginning of the show. The food we did... More

Once again, another wonderful meal at Guilianos on Saturday lunchtime. The friendliness of the management and staff makes this one of the best Italian, indeed the ONLY Italian restaurant, worth visiting in Edinburgh. The menu is extensive and diners are never rushed, no matter how busy they are - and they do get very busy! Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food.... More

A lively atmosphere pervades this restaurant, and no wonder: most of the business is repeat customers, families and groups of friends. The food was fresh and authentic, the service courteous and helpful, and the overall experience wonderful.

Went there yesterday before going to see Riverdance. Four of us shared a 12" pizza and a Calzone. The food was delicious as was the coffee. The boss man furtively asked if we were at the next showing, I said we were and he tipped me the wink and made sure we were sorted in good time for the show.... More

Chosen for its close proximity to The Edinburgh Playhouse, this restaurant didn't disappoint, very busy but the service was sleek, never at any point did we feel rushed, we chose from the main menu, only because the waiter didn't give us the pre theatre menu, we each had a 3 course meal, with a glass of house red each, the total...
