This was an excellent meal. Superbly balanced flavours and presentation was great too. E.g. delicious venison meatballs accompanied with barley, sweet potato crisps and a butternut squash puree. MMMMmmm. So worth walking down the Royal Mile away from the hubbub, to try this restaurant.

My husband and I were planning a very small wedding (13 guests) and were initially just looking to book a table for dinner for after our ceremony. We went for a meal at the Wedgwood to test it out and were so impressed we stopped looking straight away. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The restaurant has... More

Lovely friendly restaurant, staff attentive but not overbearing. Food was superb, appropriate sized portions, good fusion of ingredients & colours to delight the senses. Would recommend it and plan to return soon.

We went here for our first wedding anniversary and had an amazing time. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding! We were in the room downstairs which was cosy and intimate. Loved the lobster Thermidor creme brûlée, really unusual but tasted amazing and the duck was perfect! All in all we had a lovely wedding anniversary meal and... More

Our evening was spoilt by brash pushy waitress getting stroppy with us for taking our time to decide what wine and food we wanted. We had arrived 15mns early so to my mind should have plenty time to "settle in". She was rushed and tried rushing us. There was nothing pleasant about her attitude unlike the second waitress who eventually... More

We chose the tasting menu with our friends and were not disappointed. Interesting combinations (the venison haggis a particular highlight), beautifully cooked and well presented. No rush surroundings with friendly and low key service - a real treat for a night out with friends.

Very welcoming staff, simple menu, I had the Venison which came with blue cheese , black pudding and rocket salad, absolutely amazing tastes on the tongue, I followed this up with the sticky toffee pudding with Chantilly cream, someone should write a poem about this, almost tempted to lick the plate, brilliant.

We first came to Wedgwood a few years back shortly after it had opened. We now make it a definite stop on our itinerary whenever we're visiting Edinburgh. The quality of the food on our most recent visit was again superb - I had a delicious oxtail dish to start (the best starter I have had in a very long... More

I was in Scotland for 3-4 days and was recommended this place my a friend and it did live up to expectations. The venison I had was lovely and the haggis was nice, great way to impress people who haven't tried either venison or haggis. The lobster creme brulee was very interesting and tasty. The staff were a little occupied,... More
