Really enjoyed a meal here wtith work colleagues. Service was excellent and food was right up to the mark. Worth a short trip in a cab from the city centre - better value and more authentic than more central options.

Had dinner here on New Years Day with my husband. Our only choice was a tasting menu. I really enjoyed most of the courses and the staff was very friendly. The wine pairings were very good, but a bit too much by the end of the meal. I'd go with just a glass or splitting a bottle.

We had a lovely meal here, the downstairs feels a bit fancier than the ground floor restaurant with its white table clothes and a more formal vibe. I had a lovely starter of squab pigeon with haggis and then the best fillet of beef that I have ever had. I was pleasantly surprised by this unassuming restaurant at the bottom... More

We visited for dinner between Christmas and New Year so perhaps staff/chef were lacking energy but our visit was not what we expected: - waitress failed to offer the lovely choice from the menu of an amuse bouche with a glass of blanc de blanc while looking at the menu. She took & brought our drinks order first then handed... More

I had a wonderful dinner in here last June. The service was impeccable, really professional. The dishes were absolutely delicious. I strongly recommend the venison haggis. I would avoid instead the blue cheese cake, if you wants something sweet. It is a nice experiment, but probably they have pushed too far. One of my favourite Edinburgh restaurant.

Great meal. Food was first rate. Service was excellent. The dining room was intimate whilst informal and a lot of care went into both the food and the service. Attention to detail was spot on. My only minor gripe was that the starter came out too quickly (they'd only just put bread on the table) but I'd rather it was... More

We were visiting Edinburgh for a long weekend to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary and booked Wedgwood's for our celebratory meal. We had advised the restaurant that it was a special meal and we were pleasantly surprised to be greeted with complimentary entrees. The food was excellent, my wife had the lobster brulee and beef fillet and I had the... More

This is the second year in a row that we went to Wedgwood to celebrate our anniversary. Although there were a couple of unexpected blips to do with reservations, the restaurant staff were gracious and apologetic. The food is original and of excellent quality - we really feel like we are getting to taste a MasterChef menu. Enjoy the cosy... More

Went for dinner last night. I could run out of superlatives to describe this place. Gentle but attentive service. Friendly staff. We had the tasting menu preceded by bubbles and canapés. Bread with delicious oil dip of rosemary and garlic. I would have taken a bottle home if it had been on sale. Two starters - the cheddar bread pudding... More

Starter and Dessert were disappointing as they didn't deliver what was promised on the menu. Main course on the other hand was fabulous (braised beef risotto). One of the waitresses was very frosty but the other was lovely. A nice lunch but I won't rush to return.
