So So

We tried the buffet, but my Japanese SO did not care that much for the food. I found it OK, with a lot of variety. The price seemed a bit on the high side.

After visiting here on Saturday with my husband and another couple I thing it's safe to safe that this place is shocking!! The people serving could not understand or speak English very well and had to take our drinks order 4 times to get it correct. Food was basic and very bland, hair found in 2 plates of food. Disgusting... More

It's a long time since I've been to a Chinese buffet so I'm not sure if my standards are now higher or the food quality has taken a dive. Very little choice and all bland! The grease was oozing out- yuk yuk yuk. I will not be back. Do not waste your money. It's not cheap at 12.99 per person.... More

Having visited Edinburgh last week, I went several times for lunch and dinner, which I hardly would not have done so if I had not liked the place. The food was great, plenty of it for the prices for the lunch and evening buffets , plenty of customers in the place, did not find the place tatty or worn out and... There was a good choice of food and is reasonably priced. The food wasn't very hot and was pretty bland. Felt as though we were rushed as we were still eating when the bill was brought to the table.

Food tasted like it had been sitting for a while, chicken looked pink inside, none of the correct labels were out for the food. 11.99 a head and it was really not worth it. If you are willing to put aside taste and quality of food to make a glutton of yourself then this is the place for you but... More

Jimmy Chung's Buffet is just outside Waverley Station, Edinburgh. They have a very good 3 course Chinese style Buffet at very reasonable cost.

At first I thought the food was just different to what I was used to as I am from the west coast but then after speaking to a friend from the east coast it wasn't just me! Food is terrible, really wouldn't recommend

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighborhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
