Average food - can't compete with some of the newer buffet restaurants

Have eaten here a few times, but wouldn't go back now that restaurants such as Cosmo have opened. Have only eaten at lunchtime, but think the selection may be a bit bigger at night-time. Rather cramped food area and to be honest everything tasted very similar. The food was replenished... read more

I was visiting Edinburgh in August for the Tattoo. It was around 9PM and we decided to eat at this location since not much was opened. The food on the buffet was not fresh and not much to choose from. The service staff seemed upset because we had come at a late hour although they were suppose to be open... More

Went here after we found out the one beside the Usher hall was closed. Wish this one was closed and we would have saved ourselves some money!!! Far to many things wrong to complain about, including the price and NO discount for Seniors!! My advice, "Just give it a miss"

Took my teenager here for an early dinner. Loved the variety, prices and menu. Good food for reasonable prices.

What on earth is the purpose of this place ? Ghastly interior with a hot buffet on the go all day. We did a take-out and were given a plastic box each, but on tasting found the food overcooked and dry.

Big mistake here. Lots of very low quality food at a high price. They are paying for a good location but at the expense of the food quality. As we were on the way to a museum, we should have opted for a cafe at the museum.

It’s a buffet type restaurant, so you pay one price and eat all you want. Food is ok, though not amazing. There’s everything, including desserts. Staff is ok, but not too friendly.

not sure why this place has gone down hill so badly use to love coming here . Lunch menu consisted of only chicken dishes which i was very disapointed in no variety at all. Rice was getting reheated and warm food getting placed on top on cold food not good at all. Members of staff could not understand my complaint... More

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighborhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
