Our server alerted us to the stove being broken and that we'd arrived just after the first rush of the day. Quite a lengthy wait, other diners staring irritatedly while one tables food arrived at a time as quickly as they could muster. When it came, the food was mostly tasty- some dishes better than others, a few strong spices... More

Just had a meal here, had to wait a while till food arrived, but food was very tasty, especially the fish pie, my husband was a bit disappointed that his sausages and mash was a bit on the small size, but over-all lovely lunch.

We had a lovely brunch, big portions, small prices, great dinner decoration. Delicious gluten free sausages! Je recommande pour un petit déjeuner anglais typique, à faire comme brunch!

Great food choice and amazing service. Will definitely come back for the sausages and a tequila milkshake. Screw Flanders

The 70s décor and lively music actually fit the place really well and we were impressed by the range of breakfast options. Lunch menu looked very nice, too, and the signs suggested they are also open late in the evening. Service is friendly: my pancakes were over-cooked but only took a quiet word to the waiter and they reduced our... More

This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant serves Scottish comfort food at its best. I had meat pie, and my husband had the venison pie. Both were delectable, and more than we could eat. The folks are friendly, the food solidly good, and there is even beer and wine available.

This does exactly what it says on the tin great home cooked comfort food- pies, casseroles etc and its very tasty. The decor is pretty poor though as it really could do with a lick of paint

Doesn't look much from outside but the food was great. A hit for the family, with great Macaroni Cheese, fantastic variations of mash and good lamb sausages.

This place is fantastic if you are looking for local Scottish food. My family and I found this gem at the recommendation of friends living in Edinburgh. You feel like you are eating with friends. Definitely try the sausage and mash. It was delicious. You can get your mash potatoes made a number of different way (with bacon, horseradish, chives,... More

We called in for brunch before leaving after a short break in Edinburgh. The concept is really well executed, a lot of the decor really did take us back to our 'retro' childhoods, not a detail has been overlooked in achieving the classically 70s/80s feel. The breakfast was generous and very tasty - the sausage especially good, considering sausages can... More
