Super Burger!! Good Beer!! Friendly and Cozy!!

Had lunch here upon arriving in town. Was near 3, so was very quiet. I had a burger with salsa and Jalapenos (great selection of burger varieties)....delicious. Friendly service with good beers. Cozy and cute place hiding away from crowds.

We took our 7 stone newfoundland dog here for a bite to eat today and both myself and our dog were treated brilliantly. I have taken our dog into a few 'dog friendly' pubs but have never found them that accommodating, especially with such a big dog, at the Cambridge bar my dog was given a fresh bowl of water... More

Visited whilst on a short trip to Edinburgh. Delicious burgers, very friendly service, good wine and great atmosphere. They even changed to TV so we could watch the Tour de France whilst we were there! Perfect, would definitely recommend.

Have visited a few times and each time I think my burger is better than the last -- and each one has been fantastic! Was worried we would not get a table as we hadn't booked but were lucky to arrive right after a cancelation so they fit us in! All four of us really enjoyed the meal, sharing a... More

Had a great time. We were there on a Friday evening and it was very busy. Had a great atmosphere with a mixture of people drinking and others eating. Its a lovely old building with a good choice of drinks too. The specialty is the burger selection and there's lots of great choices. We have a good variety of the... More

I heard that the best burgers you can find here, came to test it and... people were not wrong! Delicious home-made burgers, quirky atmosphere, friendly staff. Definitely a good place to go for a pint or two and an amazing burger. Enjoy!

What a great bar. The atmosphere here is great with background music to suit. Comfy furniture and we'll laid out. The burgers: They need their own paragraph. Wow. They are brilliant. The buffalo burger is a must have if you go. I've been many times and have not been dissapointed. A must for all. They cater or all sizes as... More

Tasty burgers with lots of topping options. Price range around 15£ per person, large area so good for big groups. Best hamburger in Edinburgh.

Staying in New Town

Neighborhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
