Amazing burgers!

I've been twice now, once for dinner and once for lunch, and both times it's been fantastic! The burgers are amazing and there is so much choice. The sides are big enough for two to share I'd say and I highly recommend the onion rings. Service has been great both times I've been, once when very... read more

I have visited The Cambridge Bar a number of times and can recommend it highly to chill with friends for a few drinks. It's an excellent place to watch sporting events (but book early for popular weekend sports events if you want a place to sit). The choice of drinks is quite good and the staff very friendly. The one... More

Excellent choice of burgers! Everyone will find something on the menu. You can also have vegetarian burgers where they just use beans instead of meat :) Nice atmosphere and crowd.

Myself and my new husband visited here last night on our first night of our honeymoon. We both thoroughly enjoyed our burgers and actually we liked the idea of ordering your burger and then adding which sides you wanted. Meant you didn't over eat. Very tasty food.

Went here as recommended for its amazing burgers. The place is lovely and the staff is great. Maybe i had very high expectations from all the raving reviews but i found the burgers just ok, good enough but not something i would come back for. Onion rings were also not so amazing. I would go back for a drink and... More

Visited with group of friends for a celebration last night. Great selection of beers to start with. Knowledgable waitress helped with the wine selection. And then came the burgers!! Excellent selection, went with the buffalo, bacon, cheese and jalapeños. Amazing. And Cajun fries are a must. Watch out for the selection of hot sauces!!

Came here as we heard good things about the burger. What a wee busy place it is. Pub with a burger speciality and people from all walks of life. Chose a fajita burger with chicken whilst my partner got a plain burger. Sides of fries and onion rings. All tasty with good size portions. Good price too.

Ate there last week. Had the venison burger with Cajun fries and onion rings. Perfectly chargrilled venison, tasty rings and the Cajun spice was good and hot. Nice lagers and ales on tap. Other members of our party had the veggie burger and the cheeseburger and were all very satisfied with their meals. Our server was attentive to all our... More

Staying in New Town

Neighborhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
