In summary, a great place hidden in the back streets. Brilliant for beers and ales, with tvs for sport. However the highlight were the very delicious fresh tasting burgers. Brilliant. The chocolate brownie was also fantastic. I thought it was reasonably priced too, for the centre of Edinburgh. Coming back, soon......

While searching for places to eat in Edinburgh online we stumbled across the Cambridge Bar and it's wonderful reviews so decided to try it. It is a little bit hidden but as long as you have a phone with gprs/maps you can find it no problem. It's located down a little side street off the main centre/road of Edinburgh. The... More

Off the beaten track, The Cambridge is a bit of a find for us over the last year or so, returning multiple times. Family friendly pub with good service and excellent burgers, milk shakes and drinks. Can get busy at the end of working day so booking normally important during the week in particular.

I've been visiting the Cambridge Bar off and on for over 10 years and the service, quality of burgers and great selection of beers continue to make this a must-visit city centre venue. This is especially true for big football and rugby union matches where their screens and a great atmosphere make for a good time. Of course, their burgers... More

We stumbled upon this great little spot whilst searching for somewhere to get lunch. Friendly knowledgeable staff, fantastic burgers and a great selection of the freshest cask ales we tried on the whole holiday. I know where I'm going for lunch the next time I'm in Edinburgh! :-)

On arriving in the bar the waitress was welcoming and friendly. She a as prompt in taking and serving the drinks order and was on hand for the food order. The burger was lovely - simple with lettuce and tomato, with a choice of sauces, relish, mayo. I ordered the Cajun fries for some spice - they were OK but... More

Been going here for a while so it's about time I say why. The best mochas and milkshakes in the area in our opinion. Burgers are pretty special too. Maybe a little small but what can you do?! Cheers!

Such a lovely place; a wide range of DELICIOUS burgers (you can have them without the bun for the health conscious; you get a lovely caesar salad with it instead) and lots of great ciders and beers as well. Friendly staff. I have been 3 or 4 times, the burger was a little overdone today but that can be my... More
