Very good home made burgers worth the price.

The process might be slightly mire expensive than other bars however I felt that it us well worth for the quality.

Visited the Cambridge Bar after hearing and reading many good comments on the food ! and everything was correct ! the burger selection was amazing , the taste excellent and all the menu very well developed. I have personally chosen a double burger where you could mix up buffalo and venison !! So good !! the clientele as well as... More

Fantastic burger and spicy fries, and good selection of beers, ciders and drinks. Delicious, well worth a visit for lunch. Not a massive amount of tables though.

This is a great place to have beers and burgers! The Cambridge bar is located 4 blocks away from the touristic Rose Street, home of Pubs in Edinburgh. I loved the place! They're not that big, with around 20 tables, TV's on the walls and a great bar where you can seat and find out more about the neighborhood, talking... More

This was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Loved the Cajun fries as well. A big list of burgers to choose from and a lot of sides and toppings. The restaurant it selves outside of the "busy" part of the city which is nice. Also the staff was very friendly. I will certainly visit this... More

Great small bar along the same road as the Oxford bar, but the Cambridge bar has been upgraded and serves the best burgers in Edinburgh.

Burgers. Beer and the best night out. Scoobie and the gang were great fun. The Monday night quiz is a great way to finish the day after sight seeing and touring this great city.

On the recommendation of some of the group, we came to The Cambridge for a work night out, seeking somewhere with good food and good beer - The Cambridge delivers on both counts providing a good range of really excellent burgers and some good draught beers. With live sports as well, you're best to book if you want a table... More

We'd been here before, but never to eat. This time, we had lunch and a couple of pints. Excellent burgers, real ale in tip-top condition, and the service was as good as we've had anywhere. Lavatories spotlessly clean. The only thing preventing me from giving it a fifth star is the lack of a little salad or coleslaw being served... More

Had lunch here upon arriving in town. Was near 3, so was very quiet. I had a burger with salsa and Jalapenos (great selection of burger varieties)....delicious. Friendly service with good beers. Cozy and cute place hiding away from crowds.

Staying in New Town

Neighborhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
