Best burger in Edinburgh

Great range of burgers. The beef is Aberdeen Angus and it is very good. There are vegetarian and chicken options too. I always take friends and family visiting Edinburgh to Cambridge Bar for a great bar lunch. Great burger and a nice beer. I have been going there for years. I have to say I... read more

The Cambridge really serves a great burger. I think it beats GBK around the corner as their burgers are larger and the buns are better. My husband had a delicious veggie burger, very well seasoned with a mexican-y flavour. The cajun fries are spicy and delicious. First time last tonight I ordered dessert, gooey fudge brownie, which was ridiculously rich.... More

Visited this bar by accident following a walk along Thistle Street. No seats initially but staff very helpful and fitted us in. I'm glad they did as tea was delicious. Home made aussie burgers brimming with taste and filling. Chef was brill! Will definitely take this route on purpose next time for a revisit!

What more can I say. If it's beer you like then this place has one to suit with a very wide selection of draught and bottled beers of what seemed every possible variety. And as for the burgers, all I can say it that I really didn't need the (not so "small') nachos to start. The Roquefort burger was perfect... More

My husband had already had a burger here before so we went here before a night out to have some dinner. He had a hot dog which he really enjoyed. The chips came with that meal. I had the spicy burger but as I didn't fancy a bun (as I normally end up leaving most of it) so instead they... More

We were in town for the Scotland v Wales international. and booked a table here for the day before to eat, drink & watch the two Saturday games. The pub was full, with a very nice mix of people & a good atmosphere. Our burgers were excellent - I had the one with pulled pork, and the IPA was really... More

Visited Cambridge bar with my girlfriend on the 16th February 2015 on the recommendation of an employee at Wellington coffee round the corner. I ordered a pig in a poke beef burger and my partner ordered an mos beef burger, and we shared some sides of onion rings and chips. The burgers were as described by the coffee shop man,... More

The burgers here are great - hearty, tasty and good value. However the sides we had (Chips and Onion Rings) were disappointing. The onion rings were very greasy to the point of almost being inedible and whilst the chips were ok there were not many for the price. I would definitely come back for the burgers though!

This wonderful wee pub is a perfect place to catch up with friends over immense burgers! Service is fantastic, friendly and quick. The food itself is brilliant, fresh and tasty and brilliant idea to offer the burgers without the bun but in a salad! We come over and over again and have never been disappointed!
