Stunning food

Loved this restaurant. We booked specifically for our visit to Edinburgh months ahead. Relaxed surroundings, attentive staff, stunning food. Cater for food allergies. Wine was devine too.

Went for the Set Lunch Menu. Choice of 3 starters, main and dessert. Nothing stood out from the starters and was a bit disappointed to see only one non-vegetarian option (monkfish canneloni). Went for the asparagus and quail's egg which was under-seasoned and came with only one asparagus spear. Onto the main and it was a choice of Hake, roast... More

We visited Kitchen with friends from Derbyshire who were very keen to go - I had read some rather so-so reviews on TA so I wondered if the evening would live up to expectations. Our friends had arranged the evening and when we arrived we were shown into the bar and from then on we had the most wonderful evening... More

The Kitchin. This was not just eating at a restaurant, it was an experience. From the minute you entered to the minute you left was outstanding. Every need was catered for and more. The food was outstanding and so were the cocktails. The staff could not do enough for you and made the night so special. I cannot recommend it... More

Great lunch menu. Well worth splashing out on the wines with the courses. Cheeses too, excellent. Great atmosphere and top service.

On recommendation and noting the Michelin Star we booked for Saturday Lunch and intended having the relatively modestly priced Set Lunch....but we saw the full menu and couldn't resist - so many of our favourites and a superb wine list to accompany them The welcome and the service throughout was very professional, yet friendly - a great team. The food... More

This was our 3rd visit to The Kitchin and the food did not disappoint. the restaurant is a lot bigger than it was on our previous visits but was pretty busy for lunch. Tom greeted guests in the bar area before our meal which was a nice touch. The service was perhaps not quite as good as we had experienced... More

My wife and I had been looking forward to this evening for months and it didn't disappoint. Right from the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more friendly ,helpful, knowledgeable and professional. We chose two tasting menus. seasonal and vegetarian which resulted in a barrage of intense flavours and elegant constructions. My favourite was ox tongue served in... More

As anticipated the food was great - to be expected. However, hats off to the staff who were wonderful. They did not stop the whole evening, were always courteous and attentive - well done everyone. A great advert for Scotland.
