We visited this restaurant on our way to the Edinburgh Tattoo. As it was a tattoo night and and we had not booked a table, we didn't really think we would get in - the place was heaving. However, the staff were brilliant and managed to find us a table for three. I guarantee that you will not see a... More

Was given the table by the window which had a fabulous view over the castle. Had mussels for lunch which were very tasty. Definitely will return on my next visit to Edinburgh.

I've eaten here on several occasions over the last few years. It's a fantastic location with lovely decor and a good choice on the menu. I ate here with 5 friends on Friday night, so still in the throws of the festival. Yes, the staff were under pressure with it being so busy, but it's a restaurant in the middle... More

We booked and got a table here during the Edinburgh Festival. Great food, good wine, comfortable, contemporary setting with relaxed, efficient friendly staff. Really good place to eat in the Scottish capital.

Beautifully cooked, tasty dishes and something a little bit different. It's very popular so you need to book. Lovely views of the castle and it's fireworks.

I've eaten here before and it was nice so decided to book for my friends birthday. We were heading to a fringe show at 8 so was advised to eat 545 pm. Arrival was not very welcoming and placed beside drafty door. The white wine was warm and we had to ask twice for ice. The starter didn't arrive til... More

Have come to this restaurant for 5 years running and it never disappoints. Signature food grilled on skewers with their own coleslaw in pitta bread always excellent. Always queues to get in and a buzzy atmosphere with efficient friendly service. Great views as the sun goes down over the city landmarks,

High ceilings, friendly service, innovative food, reasonable price. Recommended to my family and friends.- and a view of the Castle from the mezzanine tables.

My third visit to this restaurant (because it was my third visit to Edinburgh) and I will keep going (to both). A good view of the castle only added to the ambience, and the food was very tasty. Yes it was noisy, but that was because fellow-diners were enjoying themselves, and although a few sound-deadening measures would be very welcome... More

Celebrated our son's 21st. Restaurant very busy. Booking a table a necessity. Service was excellent and the location of our table gave us a tremendous view of the Castle. We had to vacate our table at 9pm for another booking/
