Passorn is a lovely restaurant which I have had the pleasure of dining at on a number of occasions. The beef salad sticks in my mind as one of the tastiest meals I have ever tried! Lovely place and great service - would recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy Thai food which is a cut above that which is normally... More

Thank you again to the staff of Passorn. It is always a treat to return to a restaurant and find that it is still serving excellent food and the service is still as friendly, welcoming and professional as always. Delighted to recommend this Edinburgh gem to others.

I went here with my Girlfriend and ordered off the pre-theatre menu. The decor was very nice and modern and the staff were all very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the chicken skewer and sea bass salad for starters to share between us. Both were up there with the best starters I have ever tasted. The chicken was tender and... More

We have visited many Thai restaurants and this is now one of our must visits. Service was great and the staff we both attentive and friendly. We were asked how spicey we would like our food and we got exactly what we asked for. The green chicken curry was excellent and the seabass was cooked to perfection with great Thai... More

Very expensive - the food is OK but not much better than several other Thai restaurants in Edinburgh (don't take my word for it - just look here on TripAdvisor!!). The problem is that they give you very little meat and the portion sizes are really small. They dress it up by ladling large amounts of sauce over the dish... More

We note that you have already, several months ago, given Passorn an extremely poor review raising the exact same points. Why, then, have you returned? They say the definition of insanity is repeating the same behaviour and expecting different results. For the record, our toilets are cleaned and inspected many times a day. If your preference is for very large... More

We went to Passorn to celebrate my husband's birthday after hearing good reports about the food. The food was excellent, different from standard Thai restaurants I've been to. The staff were very attentive and explained the dishes to us. I had mentioned that it was my husband's birthday and the staff brought out ice cream with a birthday candle and... More

We asked for mild versions of the first course food we ordered however what was delivered was so spicey hot I couldn't eat it because it was burning my mouth and not form heat. The next course was just as hot although we had specified I needed it to be very mild. We eat in Thai restaurants regularly and have... More

Another excellent meal at Passorn. My boyfriend and I think of Passorn as our 'treat' place and celebrate most special occasions here! Despite our high expectations of every visit, the food and service never disappoint. We direct any friends visiting Edinburgh to Passorn and the general consensus is that this is the best Thai food you'll find outside of Thailand.... More

I've been here before and had issues. Reserved and it was a Monday! Tried to fit us into a corner table with so little space that couldn't pull the chair out to sit down! Ok, I'm 6 feet tall! The food is good but the portions are tiny! And if charging16-17£ for a dish, then it's too much for about... More
