This is a very simply decorated restaurant with a really good Thom Kha soup and the best green curry i've had. However, other dishes can be very expensive for what they are, specially the ones with sea food. Attention is good and staff is kind. House red wine not so good, i suggest going one above.

Booked a table for 4 on Friday night. Arrived and had to wait 20mins for occupants of table to leave. Then had a chipped glass. Good thing the proprietor was good to apologies with a complimentary noodles and knock the price of the wine. Great food and would have been great service had it all not been spoilted by the... More

Booked in advance for as in other reviews this place gets very busy even on a Tuesday night. Warm greeting and coats taken, a nice table in the window, every table was taken by 8 oclock. Hot and spice soup for us both to start, it was very hot ans spicy, not for the faint hearted but absolutley superb. Mains... More

Fortunately Passorn is open for dinner on Monday evenings ... and we enjoyed a tasty good-value meal. Service was friendly, attentive and professional. Our starters - Tom Yum soup and Khu Muan prawns - were excellent. For mains, we both ordered Angel Curry - sirloin steak served rare with a red curry sauce. It didn't look elegant in the serving... The food is very good, the service good the ambient pleasant ( but toilet require some attention : cistern almost off the wall without any cover and floor tiles mostly broken ). Small restaurant with a very " fine dining " thai fare.Almost on a par with Dusit had it not been a bit too sweet on 3 of the 4... More

Eaten here on several occasions and the food is very good. You can stipulate how spicy or not! The only annoyance is how quickly the staff refill your wine glass so if you don't watch out a bottle goes down far too quickly.

I'd recommend this good Thai restaurant in Edinburgh. The food, especially the starters, was full of delicate flavours and well presented. Taste wise this was one of the best Thai meals I've had. The staff was courteous and sang happy birthday to a member of our party celebrating his birthday, giving him a free dish of ice cream with a... More

Tightly packed Thai restaurant that was full on the night. Warm and friendly staff although on the night the service was somewhat slow but apologies were offered on several occasions. Normally poor service would equal a low score however the food and the manner the service issues were dealt with means we will definitely be back. Soup and crab cake... More

This place is wonderful. Really professional and extremely attentive. One of the most authentic Thai places I have been to outside Thailand. Quite formal but food still great. The staff are extremely warm and friendly typical of Thai hospitality but the food is gorgeous. If you like Thai and are in Edinburgh there is nowhere else. I have been here... More

We visited this restaurant over the weekend and ate one of the best Thai meals we have ever had. The menu isn't your usual run of the mill, but as the owner explained it is all family recipes handed down. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.
