I have eaten in nearly every top restaurant in the country (a couple still to do!) and I have no idea how anyone can review this without it receiving five marks. Even after reading those reviews I don't understand. 6 of us were staying in Edinburgh so took a 15 minute taxi ride to the restaurant and were given a... More

The food and the service were amazing. If you like fine dining, you should check this place out. The location is a bit out of the way (in Leith), but that made it fun. We took the Leith walking path all the way back to Edinburgh; it made for a lovely afternoon walk.

The food & presentation are a delight as always, but I have to say the more we travel & eat out, the more we appreciate just how good Cristophe & his staff are. Immaculate in appearance, they serve in a friendly & unfussy manner, & you don't have to go too often before they remember you. First time customers need... More

What can you say when everything is so perfect. The ambience is great, the waiters are excellent and all very charming, the food is probably the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Special taste explosions and all balanced so well. This restaurant has one Michelin star since 2001, but in my opinion it should be even more. I notice... More

A visit to Martin Wishart never fails to amaze. This time as it was a birthday celebration we chose the Fish tasting menu. Wow! Superb food, flawless service, great atmosphere and never a complaint! Really excellent and well worth it.

Without doubt the best restaurant I have eaten in. Having dined in various 2 starred restaurants in London I find it remarkable that Restaurant Martin Wishart hasn't gained a second star. Never had a bad meal or a bad service in around 8 years of dining here. Should be number one on any bucket list of Scotland's fine dining scene.

Good food; attentive staff. I was seated next to ( that is aside..as in nearer than I was to my next diner..) the cheese trolley. Now I like cheese, but this is cheese that is spooned out, and the aroma was overwhelming. All encompassing. What did I eat? Think it was cheese. Drink? erm..cheese? Lot of money for cheese with...
