One of the best meals ever had.Full range of delicious canapes and Amuse Bouche set the tone for an absolutely wonderful meal.Highlights included best Risotto ever tasted and a breathtaking apple souffle. Sommellier was extremely helpful in negotiating long wine list. Very buzzy atmosphere yet service was absolutely spot on. Comparable to any of the top restaurants in London. more

Booked a table for 2 for a saturday evening. Had pretty high expectations of this restaurant and whilst there are many good things about it - as my first visit - there were several things that just niggled a bit too much. Firstly, if you are booking a table for dinner, be aware that some tables are quite harshly lit.... more

Restaurant Martin Wishart – Leith The place: Gorgeous dining room, very crisp and elegant. Price: Set lunch du jour £25.00 pp with £10.00 supplement for cheese (or £15.00 for 2 sharing) al la carte and tasting menus are more. Service: The staff were wonderfully attentive and knowledgeable. Only too happy to help and share their passion for really good food.... more

Has this place a Michelin star for pompousity???? I had dinner with business colleagues a few weeks ago and found the service to pretensious in the EXTREME. The problem is that they did not back this up by actually offering good service to their Clients. As for the food, the quality was average and the portions were ridiculously small! Bottom... more

First class service from our arrival. Very attentive - though unobtrusive - staff , quick with menus and very knowledgeable with regard to the food and wine. A great varied menu. imaginative and creative. Lived up to our expectations. Would highly recommend the grouse and the chocolate macaroon for dessert. more

At the end of our trip we enjoyed a fantastic evening, we were expecting excellence and got it. A little pricey (extra cheese course £££) however we are happy to pay for such a wonderful dinner. Following the Michelin has meant that we ate in so many good places and this one was in the notch above category. Willl need... more

Having been to MWR 3 years ago with a friend I thought it would be a great treat for my partner's birthday. Each time we visit a Michelin Star restaurant we go for the menu gourmand, and this is the first time there was nothing on the menu that really inpired us, specially the "chicken" as "the" main course. We... more
